Front Range, dude...
(lots of cracks in that wall since leaving the Lightning).

Give a Russian big money in the NHL and watch him fold like a cheap tent. You think the Hawks would have learned with Moronov and Zhamnov. Maybe 'Bulin got old man Wirtz a deal on some Stoli...

The net size is fine as is and the I think that overall the game is great right now. I have to agree with what Buccigross has written (read his column every monday religiously) in that I could care less if there is not another NHL fan, as long as we're replaced by the same passionate fans when we die.

Personally I'd like to see more regulations on goalie eqiupment; streamlining of the chest protector, removal of the cheater web and reduction of the wrist blocker size on the goal glove, and still smaller leg pads. The other thing is that I would really like to see the instigator rule abolished. Sure we have fighting still but more than anything it would weed out players like Jarko Ruutu who would never make it past the ECHL if players were allowed to police the game. Players like Ruutu bring nothing to the game.

If a person can't appreciate the level of skill and talent that these guys bring night in and night out, then I feel sorry for them. The current level of play blows away anything from the past.

BTW, I'm psyched to be heading out with the old man tomorrow night to catch the B's and Pens.

That is stoopid!

Why try to make a game more appealing to US fans... Its a lost cause!

I would eliminate a bunch of teams in the US in non-profit market. Move some of them back to Canada (where they belong) like Quebec and Winipeg. After that you would be left with a less diluted talent base, thus better games and more exiting play.

The fact that they still think the amount of goals in a game is the recipe for popularity means that they are not the right people for the job!
