I bet they are getting this confused somehow with him racing the MegaAvalanche races......he said when he retired that he was going to pursue Marathon DH and help it grow..e

I would think that in the process of finding all of those photos of him and researching his rally career, they would atleast find out how to spell his name if they didn't know how to before.

Towing the party line.
Easiest way to find out - see if lapierre has registered a UCI trade team for 2007. Chances are if they have, something is up as their only 2 big name riders are Nico and AC.

I think Vouilloz will definitely give Peaty (or Hill, Minnar, Rennie, etc.) a run for his (their) money. His riding style was so smooth and he could butter turns around on his nose. Plus, he beat them (or at least the ones that entered) at Mega Avalanche.

I agree with you on somethings, no doubt vouilloz is like butter on freakin toast as far as smoothness goes.Hill and peat will dominate nico.More peat than hill, I think one more season then sam will be more than just ****in fast, he will be ****in fast and more consistent. Also nico is probley in better shape than both of them, so you got me their.

There was an interview in a French DH mag.
It's true, he said he wouldn't be racing the world champs but he'd be on the WC circuit.
He said that the rallying was just too much $$$.

Racing the world cups but not the world champs, thats a bit strange. He mustn't have room in the trophy cabinet for another worlds trophy.

Hope the rumour is true the man is a legend

I remember being in Kaprun at the World Championships in 2002 when Nico retired after winning for the 10th time.I had an interview with him in Maribor in 2001 and he told me he hates loosing. Best DH rider on this planet is back!IWatch out Peaty, Hill and the rest!!!!!!!

According to what he said in the french mags, we will only race selected world cups. The one he mentionned are Vigo, Schladming and Maribor, because the dates are not in conflict with his rallye calandar. He doesn't plan to race at the worlds.
He also said that he can change is mind if he feels that his comeback is not well received ..

.. and his goal is to be in the top 10 .. (well, this is what he said to the press, but be sure that a top10 won't be enough for E.T. :) )
