bmx & 4x knee pad suggestions...

...due to another knee injury, looks like I need to start wearing knee/shin protection even when I race...just wanted to hear some suggestions on what you might have used that protects reasonably well (emphasis on knee protection) and what's easy to spin quickly in?...

I'd like to place a vote against 661.
I've never had issues with straight up neoprene freestyle shin and knee pads. Not very breathable, not the greatest for spinning either. If you're looking for protection, they're the way to go.

I have the 661 Tomcats and they have offered the best KNEE protection I've found of any pad I've tried. However, the cloth covering over the hard knee cup tends to rip if you crash in rocks. I would guess that wouldn't be an issue on the track. But they are a bit bulky. Otherwise I would suggest the Kyle Strait pads.
