I'm trying to get set up to spend a month or two in Whistler and ride the bike park as well the Shore trails as much as I can. Can a few kind souls shed some advice on when to go, where to look for employment, where to live, etc.? Thanks!

work at whistler, stay at whistler, ive never even been to Canada myself, but have worked at a resort and know that if u work there u will usually get board pretty damn cheap, but thats usually just with full time, which means u would be seeing alot more "work" than you would riding, but as far as livin up there i'd say thats ur best bet, cause working at resorts isnt hard work, and u gotta figure the whole day you are around what u love to do, biking! no other job up there would give the freedom or the atmostphere that u are in search of i think (unless u know somone with a sick bike shop or somethin)

I like September at Whistler the best. Its not as warm, but less crowded and the trails are in better shape. Other than that I don't really have any advice. Well, bring a good bike and spare parts, and I've heard employee housing is cheap in the summer months.

If your a U.S. citizen and want to move up to Canada, is it hard to get a job with out like a temporary green card or something? I'm thinking about doing this in a few year.

As for riding in whistler, I think august/september are the best for the reasons stinky6 said above.

Thank for all the advice, guys. Tacopuerto - I checked out their website, it looks awesome! Do you know about how many hours a week you need to work to stay there for free? And how good is the freeriding and downhill around there? Thanks!
