its a little way on your cell phone that makes it so you don't have to spell out every letter of every word for texting. Kind of a kid thing

ah. mine does somethign like that. It's my first cell phone, and I just got it a month or so ago, so it's all I've ever known.

But yea - spelling out every letter of every word sucks.

Thank you.

I don't text often, but on the rare occasion I do, it's always been a pain. I always wondered, but was never curious enough to search to find out what T9 meant on my work cell phone. My personal cell uses iTAP which seems just as easy.

Don't know if I'll use it any more, but when I do, this will make it easier.

No pancakes from me.

My old job was working with software for Verifone point of sale machines, so I had to run configure options a lot. I got used to spelling out long words using the key pad, so texting isn't a big deal.

I have no idea if my phone does "T9" or not. I don't need it because I can hammer out whole words easy enough. I hate using txt language too, so I spell out everything anyway.

Txt language sucks. I spell everything out, and it takes forever. I need to do a google search for T9.

I've never liked T9, iTap or any of those other auto-spell things on texts. Like chico said, it never comes up with what I want. I spell out everything in full. It doesn't take that long once you get used to it.

sounds like you have no idea what T9 is or does, but you have an opinion about it anyway.

it's predictive text, and works great. using it means that your text messages actually do have full words, and aren't filled w/ the 'brb' 'ur' and all that other jargon.

texting is cool, because you can get a message to someone even if they are busy in a meeting or doing something else. or communicating in a very loud environment, like in a bar or show. i didn't text much before i lived in ireland, but i can't imagine going w/o it now.

It never spells out what I ****ing want it to
or on my phone its the zero button. I find that sometimes it takes almost just as long as without t9 if i have to add in words or i pass a word when i'm changing it. But i just started using it 2 weeks ago so i will get used to it. But it is much better i must say.
