Front Range, dude...
No self respecting bluesman would be suckered into such a commercial ploy.
Although, if they need someone to work it out, I am available. For a small fee.

yah im not really impressed. it doesn't really Identfy itself as being part of the history of Ford/Shelby.

Paint it white with a blue stripe.. make diffrent models like a "289" for the standard one and "428CJ" for a deluxe strat and maby limited edition "427" with like maby 500 units made....

theres GT350 GT500 the black and gold GT350H..

one thing Cool cars and cool guitars have in common is they get better with age why not bing back a bit of the 60's era with the shelby/ford name...

That's a $129 guitar.
How do you paste pics to this page? Dammit!

Here we go... this is a TRUE limited edition guitar. $25,000 msrp. Worth every penny.
If I had the money, I would buy one. I don't even play guitar. I wanted too, becuase of VH, but played drums instead. Maybe I'm a bit like Alex. Except my brother played drums alongside me. I used to be able to play every song, perfect; except the intro to "Hot for Teacher" I don't know anyone that can play that. I don't even think it's been transribed...

It's amazing that Edddie put that guitar together for less than $200. He got the body from the 'seconds' bin at Charvel for $50, and bought the neck for $80. Got a PAF Gibson humbucker and rewound it and dipped it in parrafin (surf) wax in a coffee can. How lucky can you get? A body with amazing tone from a 'seconds' bin?

The Guitar World article is absolutely amazing. I gives you so much info about the guitar and the way he makes his sound. Every secret he has ever had comes out. you could almost build your own guitar from the info Eddie gives.
I almost want to. Problem is, all the components have gone thru the roof as far as price.
I don't even think you get a Gibson PAF humbucker anymore.

If you can get the mag I highly reccomend it. There is a CD that comes with it that has an interview with Ed. At one point, the interviewer asks if Ed had trouble picking his guitar from the 2 replicas.
"Oh yeah! I didn't know which one was mine!"
That's how exact this guitar is. He wrote 'this is the ****!' on the back of the neck of the first one.
Cigarette burns, body wear, even the 1971 quarter is there. Chip Ellis, the builder, even had to go on EBay to get '71 quarters becuase of a silver shortage in'71. "There just weren't a lot of '71 quarters!" The only thing that Chip couldn't get were the reflectors on the back. Some of the companies were out of business and he would call and ask customers if they would dig through inventory to try to find the correct part number.

Absofuk!nglutely amazing

And the pic is the replica....how 'bout that?

Duh, Austin
My company made a bunch of these:

The woodwork was incredible, my boss has one. Beautiful guitar.

Oh, and the picture does not do it justice, it's a deep, dark green, not a pea green.
