blah!
I currently have an 06 888vf that came stock on my bike [06 bighit fsr 3] and it sucks to have to open up the fork every time I want to adjust it. My question is, seince marzocchi said I could upgrade internals, how hard is it to be done? I am pretty mechanically inclined. Also how much does it cost [they didn't say a price]? Also are there any step by step instructions out there with picks/video?

Thanks,
Specializedride

it can be done
its not really difficult
probably no videos nor instructions out
price, varies wildly depending on which internals you want, vf2 or rc2x etc, but i would say it wont be worth it, remember in order to go rc2x or even rc2 in your case you would have to buy EVERYTHING inside the fork except for the springs. small items like dials and nuts quickly will add up to more than the diff between selling yours and buyying another fork.

Have you ridden that VF crap? You realy cant do much inside unless you like completely rebuilding carts and that system spikes and loses traction worse than a 03 boxxer.

Specializedride, you have a few options. One is getting the newer internals and laying them in. Easy job that just takes care. Then yoy might be able to buy the older internals for the 05 forks. Still great internals and with a few mods just as good as anything else imho. You can also buy a externaly knackered out 888RC and jsut take the internals, clean them up, new racing oil and your good to go. Lastly, you could jsut buy a new fork.
