So, I am looking at a Giant Glory, but the website says the TT on the large is 25". I cannot imagine thats true, so does anybody have the real numbers?

25"?!?!

Yeah, there's no way that can possibly be accurate... Unless it's a stretched 2-up and 2-out chopper version.

Not sure what to tell ya as far as getting accurate info though... Have you tried emailing them, or placing a call?

TT measurements on DH bikes with interrupted/non-BB-intersecting seat tubes are pointless anyway. Work out what the reach is from the chainstay/wheelbase/head angle measurements if you need to, but relying on TT measurements should be left to bikes that you actually sit down on.

I suppose, but if they buggered up the listed measurements of the TT badly enough, whats to say the rest is correct?

I am hoping its somewhere around 23.5 or 24, but who knows.

Medium Glory measures out to 20.5inches effective ie center or head tube to center of seat tube in straight line. Which is 1.8inches shorter than giant's measurement of 22.3inches. giant claims to measure from center of headtube to top/end of seatube I don't get that measurement myself... and we sell them at the shop. So at guess I would take their measurment for a large (25.4inches) and subtract 2inches giving you a 23.4inch toptube, much more reasonably sounding. I can get a actual measurement of a large in a short time, coulple of days. Hope this helps.

That is actual, not effective. Unless you mean horizontal line and not straight line along the top tube.

They are probably listing the effective measurement.

My 07 18" Trance on Giants site says 23" for the TT. In actual it is 21.5". When I talked to the Giant guys about what size 07 Glory to get they told me if the 18" Trance fit me well to get the M size. I am 5'11" with as long arms as a normal 6' to 6'2" person. I think my reach is 28.5”.

I have been told my Glory has shipped out last week sometime. It should be here this week. I will measure it and give you guys the actual TT soon.

Ditto. It's the front-center (or more like bb to handlebar) length that counts.

Dude, thanks for that. I ended up riding one half way down the DH course that weekend too. You and the other guy letting me look over the bike and riding it are one of the reasons I went with Giant. The other reason is the deal Giant gave me through my shop.:thumb:
