the prague angle suggests it's taken from that park which i forgot the name of, where you can ride the funicular to the top. there's a playground and observatory up there.

I was going to say Salzburg for #1. You can see the chess board in the square and I seem to remember some WWII story about the small church in the lower left but don't they all have a WWII story.

Had to hike up that long, steep path to the fort on the top of the hill to take the picture, right? It's been 12 years since I was there, memories are fuzzy at best.

We didn't - we went up the gondy to the top of the overlook down in Schonau and had a nice hike over into Austria. We didn't see any convenient public transport to the Eagle's Nest, but we weren't looking very hard, really. :D
it was kinda cool, but a tourist deal pretty much, i can say that i did drink a beer there tho.
