That is really quite nothing compared to the mush-head affect some nice brain damage can cause. You will not see to many internet reports from those folks as they are too busy ****ting their pants and drooling on themselves.

That's a whole lot of suck right there.

My son used to give me crap about wearing a helmet, but I told him as long as I was paying for bikes, he was to wear a helmet.

He was doing simple drops on a loading dock when he got a little sideways and hit the wall in mid air. He then fell about 5 feet nearly head first to flat. The impact on the rear (wall) and front (ground) of the ProTec helmet was enough to split it in 2 even halves.

I bought him a new helmet and he's been better about wearing them since.

AmyD convinced me to put on my helmet, a badly fitting bmx one, during my last ski day. I am a lousy skier so I figure how fast would I be going that I would need a helmet?

Of course, I went french fries not pizza and I caught an edge and slammed right in the back of my head. I don't think I have ever hit the back of my head like that.

My bell was rung but I got up and kept skiing. No helmet, probably have to be carried to the bottom.

Living the dream.
Hey, if this can happen while wearing a helmet (what you don't see is all the blood, facial swelling and broken teeth, this is the day after the crash)...there's no reason to ever be riding around without one. I will admit to the occasional 'round the block spin though, and I feel very vulnerable when I do it.

Yeah, same thing happened to me, with a helmet, my face still ended up looking like the top of that guys head....that really sucked....rocks embedded in the inside of my lip and my whole face.....but the important part of my head was all good.....except for not remembering the crash, but helmets aren't really meant to prevent concussions, just brain damage :bonk:

Helmets make sense. Yesterday my wife and I went for a ride.. she didnt paln on taking her helmet and asked me if I was taking mine.. I told her yes, so she took hers.. about 5 minutes later she took a spill on the bike.. she got some cuts and scraps all over.. and then I noticed the little dent in her helmet... accidents happen.. wear your helmet

It's kinda funny to hear the latest craze is to ride gnar trails with hardtail bikes to prove your skillz. That's all well and good compared to wearing a helmet, i mean you'll just be broken down and crippled by 40 instead of a drooling retard.

you should go to my sponsorhouse link and read about my injuries, brain injuries can happen wearing anything when a bomb goes off next to your door.

I still bark at random objects in the bushes out front of the VA hospital
Jesus dude - just read your sponsorhouse bio.

Even at 65mph, your Humvee was still inside the concussion radius? That must have been one hell of a blast. It's good to see you are out riding again - nice Turner DHR by the way. You seem to have a really good perspective on life, and I'd say it's definitely served you well.

Speaking of serving - on behalf of everyone here,

Thank You.
