I'm not sure why I post this stuff. I'm bored and it seems somewhat appropriate for a mountain bike website I guess...

After putting this bike together I thought that I really only needed one bike, but this build weighed in at nearly 43 lbs. Great for heavy trail/DH but to be honest not much fun for XC/trail riding. So on a tight budget, I put this together. This bike has proven to be a lot of fun for solo rides (I don't ride DH alone). Then the same guy who I bought my Blitz from offered me his DH frame and a freshly rebuilt fork. The Blitz and 66 went up for sale.

I figured that I might as well not screw around and put together a full on DH rig....Should be fun!

:picsstfu:

I rode the same bike for 2-3 years and now I'm swapping stuff around every other month. Go figure :twitch:

Thanks! I'm pretty stoked...this is one of those bikes that I "always wanted". What's really cool to is that I bought this from the guy that I usually ride with so he can still take it for a spin when he wants (he really liked it). Although he didn't do a half bad move going to a Canfield F1...

So I have to ask all of you....is this how it starts/ends? The constant upgrading and swapping of parts when you should be spending money on other stuff? I'm already eyeballing my hardtail and thinking about a 4" softtail frame :disgust1:

Dang, looks good! You are most definately addicted. PM me if you want to ride DH sometime, the week after this upcoming one is my spring break and I plan on SB, Ojai, maybe some Simi riding.

the cycle does have unexpected outcomes sometimes. i went through a slew of bikes from 1993 through about 2003... and after all of it i ended up keeping only a fully rigid xc rig and a road bike. the bikes kept on getting bigger and bigger until i stopped the cycle: proflex, cannondale, evil, kona, intense, and ultimately canfield.

nice dhr, btw.

:busted:
