I thought I had my heart set, but I want to hear some other peoples opinions just to make sure. Which would be the best (money aside) wheelset for my transition double (which will be used for urban, freeriding, dj and 4x).

If you have any experience, please share.

Halo tornado
halo combat
transition revolution

I've never tried any of these, but I ride with people who do and none of them have failed yet, so right now, the only diff I se is that the halos are 1.7 lbs and .7 pounds heavier than the revolutions. Anyone know how the hubs hold up and perform?

those halo's are overweight. Even the tornado is heavier than the outlaws. I've had a set of SAS's and they were nice, but I had to run pretty high psi to avoid denting the rather soft rim alloy. The hubs rolled smooth, they were the old diatechs, not sure if they are still using them or not. But I sold them off after 1 season and got some outlaws since my new frame needed a 12X135mm rear.

I'd say TBC revolution out of those choices you listed. which one were you looking at though, 32 or 36? assuming you would be all set with a 10mm rear too?

Syncros DPS32 is what I am considering...Its a little heavier then the Transition but lighter then the Halos...I am hopefully going to build them up with Hope Pro 2 which seem to be a good hub right now

personally i only see one option. the TBC revolutions. the halo rims i have had in the pasted suck big balls as they where really really soft. as in you cant pinch a tube on them. instead they just fold out of the way. personally i would much rather have a flat than a dented up wheel

revolutions are on a 3-4 week backorder, my buddy called transition and every transition dealer in the country and he got the last set that Drop N Zone had. Just to let you know...

I just ordered a set of white combat rims (I got a great deal, they were less than I sold my front rim for).

Phil: I have lax everyday after school for 3 hours, and I work on the weekeends. Also, I have sh$tloads of homework (IB). My double has no stem/bars (they are in the mail) and no front rim (also in the mail). I can't really ride right now. One lax is over, I'm going to race at ski bowl (I have to now w/ the sponser). Also i'm doing a 2 week trip to whistler. Dude, when I can ride my bike, I do.

Wow, I can't believe I just wasted 5min of my life explaining myself.

good luck with the Combats... they are just pinned SAS's I believe, and I didn't have great luck with the welded SAS's either. The rim alloy is super soft, forcing you to run super high psi, or deal with dents and flat spots, not to mention they are pretty tubby. If you got a decent deal on them though, may as well use'em like they're disposable anyway.
post up some pics of your double once you get a chance!

FEAR ME ^
The halos are solid rims. I knwo escapeartist had some and although they were uber heavy, they were super burly (read;true all the time). If you were a real man you'd have gotten some 24", 48 spoke combat SAS's though...
