Ya that deal fell through, I gotta get rid of this pro pedal crap. Even turned all the way out I can still feel it.:disgust1:
HAHA, no you can't. If you saw how it works inside, you would understand why. It isn't rocket science.

Also, if you don't like the feeling of pedal platform damping, how the heck will you deal with the overdamped avalanche?

It just feels that it ramps up against the propedal in the initial travel then breaks through which I feel comparmises (sp) the small bump feel. My Romic I had without the propedal felt alot better in the initial travel than the Fox, but had to switch since getting hold of Rodger is near impossible.

Physically not possible. You may indeed be feeling "something" but it isn't the propedal valve. Back out he air chamber, take air to about 100lbs, start there.

I don't see why you want to get rid of one of the best shocks on the market and use either an avalanche or a friggin' romic. You need to take the time to set the suspension up and learn how it will change when you change settings.

doesn't that make it worse since its gotten the **** beaten out of it?
Fox will have rebuilt it for the rider before it was sold or after the last event. The fox "pro rider" stuff has no discernable difference in the 40, besides maybe some funky spring rates from custom springs.

They do the funky stuff on the rear shocks.

Excactly, this thing came to me with a fresh rebuild and a bunch of custom Ti springs colors I have never seen.

Damn, by the subject line of this thread, I thought you were saying that the 07s were finally shipping....

That's a VERY nice DHR though. There's something special about a custom painted ride, knowing that yours is the only one like it.

I thought they put that cute little puffy sticker on the "factory" fork arch?

ya, but i mean all the structural stuff has a year of hard abuse, the arch, stanchions, crowns, etc. I mean why spend all that money to get that much more fatigued parts? That stuff insn't invincible after all.

I've had 4 different shocks on my '04 DHR, Romic for one year, Avy DHS for one year, Avy Monotube for one year and now the Fox DHX. Personally I like the DHX the best so far, I concur that the Avy is overdamped and never complimented the front Avy DHf I used to have or the Travis I now have. DHX does the best at making the DHR smooth out the stutter bumps and baby head, not sure how it does on drops yet but in that category it's hard to beat an Avy.

it all gets replaced/repaired regularly, ive seen his fork, its mint, no what you would think a world cup used fork would look like.

with alot of dhx's you can feel a small 'clicking'. when they first came out it was the check vavle on the boost valve/propedal sticking. but supposedly that problem is solved. so the only other thing that could cause it is the compression shim stack on the piston. what i did with mine is change to oil weight to sicoline rsf 7.5 wt. now its butter... and suprisingly the oil was back just from 6 months.

cederrowe: with the propedal set a the min setting it is close to no LSC damping. you could drop the oil weight, that made is smoother in my case. but it also voids your warranty.

those ti springs that you got, is there a black or purple colored one? i am intresed in them if you wanna sell.

Trying to find some skillz...
Saw that you have a Funn Boxer stem on a Fox Risse crown. Do you know if the e13 Boxxer stem will mount to the Risse crown? Risse's site just says "will accept international standard integrated stems" (or something like that...).

:imstupid:

It does. They actually built the prototype at my request, off of my stock crown.

I have been using it since about this time last year using an e.13 ali stem.

No My Fox 40 came from a "bigger" rider, the springs are on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Sh!ts always in the mail. My bikes will be done in two weeks, just watch. As I said before, its not like I could ride right now anyways, Lax is in full swing, 3 hours a day (On top of school, ib testing and work). Once schools done, ill be riding pretty much every day.
