Was out in the yard pulling what seems like the most weeds I have ever seen in my yard and was thinking about racing, the thought of this entered my mind.
Who is the bigger fan favorite, Chris Kovarik or Nathan Rennie. I remember both of those guys came onto the scene at about the same time, same team (qranc) living out of the van, etc and both have shared similar successes, minus CK has not won the world cup, but both are bad ass aussie dudes, so......who do like better, as a fan?

Remember, everyone is a winner here, just like american idol.

I like them both for different reasons. Kovaric looks like he's breaking his bike and Rennie looks like he's breaking the course, but they both look smooth and fast. I've seen Kovaric party, I think you'd wind up in jail if you partied with him for too long and Rennie seems like a pretty relaxed dude who's stoked to be riding his bike. I'm stoked the sport has so many personalities with a lot of talent.

no scientific reason, I just was curious as to whom the fans are more drawn to. Don't send hate mail either like usual on here, I was simply curious.

Oh....and Rennie can party like you can not imagine...Rennie and CK BOTH partying while intoxicated is like gas and fire, but I have relied on Rennie to calm CK down in a heated party moment-weird.
No hate mail on that name dropping party update either, I have seen em all, save your breath.

Well I can say that in most interviews, Rennie seems like an intelligent adult.

Kovarik on the other hand writes things like 'fvck huckers' on the inside of his van with spray paint........you know.......to remind himself in a classy way his own thoughts.

rennie def has more media coverage for sure... and it seems that he is stepping it up this season... but i also have muchos respect for kovaric.... he doesn't have as much support but still shows the results.... wasted right now.... :cheers: :poster_oops:

Better question...who would win in a UFC style brawl?

I would take Kovarik...Or their collision causing the earth to be tilted off axis and ceasing to rotate.

They are both super fun to watch, personally I prefer the way Rennie just crushes everything even though CK probably has more style...plus I've talked with Rennie a few times and he comes across as a pretty cool, smart guy.

Both are pinners so no question there. Rennie is super approachable, friendly, and a good ambassador for the sport. Not saying CK ain't or anything, but he does have a little more aggressive image. I'd choose Rennie for the reasons mentioned, plus my affinity for anyone that's ridden factory Yeti at any point in their career.




I'd totally rather spoon with CK though.

I've heard some stories from some other Aussies about Rennie and Kovarik fighting, and I guess it gets pretty intense. Both these guys are jacked. I think we need to organize some type of UFC style fight between the two.

UFC style, I'm voting Kovarik. One roundhouse kick with those hogbacks he calls calves would end it.

But having gotten the pleasure to BS with Kovarik in the pits and Rennie through PM's (but only late night in Australia when he was drunk..each time)...in a personality contest I call it a draw. Kovarik asks you what YOU think about the course, the venue, etc.

Style...there is no better race style to see than Kovarik at full tilt. 14 seconds! But at a race, watching Rennie manual and tail tap, nose wheelie, etc in the pits is amazing.

Rennie gets my vote here easily. I've been in a fight with Kovarik. I wound up getting some broken glass to the back. Lucky for me Cedric's girlfriend is pretty good with the band-aids.
I've partied with Rennie at Rockwell's house in Durango. Nothing but good times wtih him.

Jesus christ, I came into this thread thinking Kovarik's an asshole, but I never knew it was to this extent.

Don't think there's any contest here.
