I will be at both a lot this summer, mostly brundage. I think there is a wild rockies series race at brundage the second weekend they are open. I love brundage, but I was not impressed with tamarack yet, but it will be really nice when they get more work done.

Oh quit your whining, you know super D (Tamaraack) is too much maniliness for you little girlie men! :D
Tamarack mostly in part due to the fact hey are supposed to be building more trails this season as well as the wall rides are pretty slick and rock star is pretty cool with a couple of different lines.

Yeah, Woody Keen of Trail Dynamics mentioned they're doing more and more there this year. The US Secretary of the Interior and former governor of the state is backing the development of it as a bike destination. I'd love to go check it out!

i didn't get a chance to ride brundage this summer but hidden valley is way fun. super g at tamy is really great, but they also have some more flowy obscure trails that are really smooth and have a lot less dust too. and at 50 for a summer pass tammarack is awsome! i think its like 20 for a day pass at brundage.

Brundage is going to be expanding soon. I heard plans of adding a new beginning for hidden valley, a new lift, and some trails off the back side, but I don't know what is actually gonna be built. Expect new things at brundage in the next year or so. :monkeydance:

well, tamarack is pretty free-ridy and that is about 1:45 minutes from bosie. brundage is about 20 miles away from there and they have good dh single track stuff. i know a few kids who race down early from bosie and can ride all day. there are a few little spots in bosie that people have built jumps and trails and i hear there is good singletrack and stuff in the foothills right outside the city.

do a picture search in pinkbike of bosie idaho. there looks like a few neat places.

i'm not sure about sun-valley. they supposedly have good skiing, so you could do a google search of the resorts around there and find out if they have summer lifts.

hey, now i won't be the only sx-trail dude in the area haha

hey little devil, did you have a an 05 66 rc on that 9.5 at tammarack near the middle of august? if so i think i saw you.
In the beginning of the summer I rode a tan mountain cycle sin w/ a 66, but then I got an all black shockwave 9.5 with a black rc2x and red dt swiss fr 2350 wheels, but I did see someone with a red shockwave with a 66 on it. Anyway, look for me at brundage this year, I will definitly be there for the race and on opening weekend. :monkeydance:

I'll be at Tamarack allot this season, because I'm working there. I'll be in bike shop so come in and look for Blair. I am stoked to ride here and find all the local singletrack too.

Does Brundage have more DH-style trails to it? We hit up Tamarack last summer and it was sweet. Wish I had one more day there to check out the jump park. I guess since they're hosting the National finals there, Tamarack will have a straight-up DH run on it. There's a lot of good DH sections, but there never seemed to be a sustained one worthy of racing.

As far as this year goes, I think we're going to try to get out that-a-way for a week at some point this summer.

Brundage is for the Dh'r. Its rough, fast, steep. Fun as hell. Love Brundage.
As far as I know, Tamy is supposed to have a pure Dh run that they are building specifically for Nats, but on a different part of the mountain than most of the current trails.

super g to rockstar is fun and a good line, brundige is a straight DH run rocky, dusty and eats rims. They are supposed to be working on some fr terrain stuff possibly. Not a for sure just a whisper heard in the wind.
Tamarack rocks and this season should be better, Jean pierre has done great things with a mtn locked in politics to where it is now.
I'll be there atleast twice definently for the NORBA race.
