That sucks man! Is it due to the move?
no. i have to go to a wedding. i have to go to see all the people i *didn't* invite to my wedding. not inviting my extended family to my wedding is one thing. blowing off seeing them a month later would be much, much worse.

(ha, if work asked me to give up a holiday weekend *and* miss racing the open, it would've been a much easier choice... :happydance: )

That is a full on Mach 10 step down right there... Someone is going to blow up so hard on that... It's an inevitability..

Up sh*t creek, without a paddle
Looks a hell of a lot better than the Deer Valley drop to finish line g-out that I cratered myself on last year. Basically you can just go zingin' off that thing...the DV one you have to prejump or slow way down. I didn't do either...

I bet some big Whips will be thrown off that!!! I would!!!! Hope its still there for me to hit when I am up there in July.

it's possible.

but it looks to me like a flat out, high speed lip without the usual "too much kick".
just the design that fits downhill bikes to a tee.

Agreed. It looks big, but doable. Go fast, go straight and stay level. The consequences are high because of the speed, but the risk is pretty low if you commit and don't do anything dumb.

That said, it kind of scares me just looking at the pictures.

i have a large jump down here that i really needed to pull the lander up shorter and close up the gap to 20+ft.
out trajectory was coming down from a little too high to be landing it short.

this one looks like a lot more of a lower glancing blow for those who can't stretch it out there.
again, speed will be your best friend.

i'll be saving this picture for future building purposes.

Yeah, obviously, the worst thing that could happen (pretty much) is come up short, have the back end kick up and send you flying about 10 feet in the air. I'm not sure that would happen, though, with the way it looks (unless you are running a DH bike from '92 with an elastomer rear shock).

this is a relief. by this part of the course my hands will be killing, and the normal ski trail/turn/bridge is rough on them by the end of your run come late saturday/sunday, so since its groomed and wonderful there will be no pain. :)
