- Sam Hill and Chuck Norris walked into a bar. The bar was instantly destroyed, as that level of awesome cannot be contained in one building.

50 points for winning qualies, 250 for winning the event.
The correct answer is, of course, as many points as Sam Hill wants.:busted:

Probably the best cyclist in the world at the moment in any discipline I'd reckon. The sad thing is his recognition back home is virtually zero, saw 2 paragraphs in the local rag after MSA. When they have their wanky "Western Australian Sports Star of the Year Award" or whatever you call it you can be sure he won't get a mention.:disgust1:

lmao at skc impessive stuff fact about Sam.
He is simply on another level right now!! A few years back when CK blasted the Fort Bill course I thought we were about to see him dominate and explode the world cups after that result..Sam is doing what I thought CK would do.

I see my tip for the a rider who would come through over the next few years is coming on mighty strong this year another top result in 17th this round... someone surely has to pick him up soon.

UCI has changed formats now. My official start list says top 20 are at 2:30 gaps???

Dear god, 2 minutes was bad enough on the fans stuck in the woods being eaten alive, 2.5 minutes is going to make it torture!
suprizingly no bugs up here, it was way to cold 2 nights ago and there lives ended. but 2:30 is weird.

Good about the bugs, 2.5 minutes in Vigo or Ste Anne would have been hell. As it is 2 minutes seems to make the race drag on forever and fans start to get restless. It's like build up the drama and excitement, and then they drag it out and kill it.

Hope they don't do that at Worlds or Maribor where there will certainly be bugs, and probably cold wet weather as well.

Bad luck for Alex, down in 157th...
Since the results were first posted they've DQ'd 5 riders, I wonder whats going on there?
had a good run going to mid back it in 100ish. hit the top trees
perfect then on they way out with i sigh i went down. i when calm
too soon. 4:50 with 10sec crash off bike-undertape. still wouldn't
have netted me 100. fast boys here. lots of them. met a fin kid who
got a 4:31ish and crashed 4x. he was a pinner for sure.

it was so much fun! i never got the track dialed, thats how hard it
was. i get my lines at nats in like 4 runs. i wish i could keep riding it
especially now that i watch top guys in the tees and all the vid footie
during quals.

alex

lots of pics and top20 vid clips when i get back next weekend.
off to innsbruck and salzburg!

Looking for photos of rider No. 199 , please .

He was riding a black Morewood or a white Session10 .

He qualified 52 and snapped the handlebars on his way to the final run.

He then rode the finel on the loaned Trek and finished 67th !

My riding buddy , Nimrod :clapping: .

Sam, here's a warning... if this continues much longer the universe will notice you're breaking some fundamental laws of physics.

Those eyebrows are dangerously close to critcal mass and you may find that the space-time distortion effect they have granted thus far is about to transition into, well... something not even Chuck Norris could save you from.

(Nice work - 5 seconds... wow)

(well done VOQ!)

every pic i see of this guy lately is nuts... every one is a pefect example of how to ride a bike. always aggressive, and always in control

Sam killing it at Schladming seems to be a consistand trend, two years ago he won by 6 seconds, last year by 5 seconds, and again this year by 5 seconds

he has won (or dominated... champery) the last three WC races

You forget, Sam has been doing this kinda thing since he was a junior. At the Luguno worlds he had an OTB crash at beat Gee by like 11 seconds or something. With the crash he was fourth in elite only a couple seconds off the winning pace. Had it not been for the crash he might have won elite worlds as a junior.

anybody besides me think the points system for World Cups is badly skewed when not even the top 5 guys are within points of one another?

I mean...in every other racing, at least 5 guys have a shot 3/4 of the way through the season.

They need the old NORBA points scale, I remember a couple years my riders going into the finals with just a small lead after winning a few races and being on podium everywhere else.

I agree, kinda seems to take the "racing" out of racing when its all pretty much wrapped up before the series is even over.
