I'm up for Syncline. I hear there's some wicked fast downhills there but haven't been there to ride yet. I could do a ride any of the next couple of weekends.

Who else is up for going?

I'm not on here too often, but I'd love to hit Syncline again. I'm in Portland (SE) and have a shuttle car with racks for 5 DH bikes. Most of my riding buddies are in the Corvallis area, and I haven't had much time to get a new group together since moving to the Portland area. I'm up for Syncline, Post, Blackrock, or anything else around here.

Next weekend is the Hood race, otherwise I and a few others would be down.

How about a BBQ and beer afterwards in the lower lot at Syncline?

Sounds good anyone have a portable BBQ. If I bring mine I'd have to leave my bike at home :bonk:

Anyone coming make mention of your vehicle so we'll have an idea on the shuttle situation.. I have a full size Bronco, but no outside bike racks.. But I can carry quite a few bikes as long as we pull front wheels off.. I can get a small trailer for bikes if we need it.

That weekend is going to be out for me unless it is super early on the 28th. Brother coming in to town from out of state, and he isn't really a rider. Not to mention, he arrives at PDX sometime in early / mid-afternoon.

All of that said, I might be down to get a few runs in early depending on the exact flight arrival time (which I don't have yet). I'll post up once I know. Regardless, it is good to know there are people interested in riding in the Gorge; I'll be looking to get another group together soon.

I've got a civic with a 2-3 bike bike rack. Certainly not ideal for shuttling, but it would be perfect for bringing drivers up to the top to bring shuttle rigs back down.

I'm bring Blazer with a 4 bike rack and beer!
COOL  Gunslingger is going to ride up with me. And I may have some of the Ride-this boys meet us there. I plan to be at the lower lot by 10 am. I'll be in a tan/reddish brown full size Bronco with wa plates and we'll have Grady's Honda. If your late my truck maybe at the top.:bonk:

You going to be solo? or how many tag alongs?

Any other peeps feel like going a bit early, coming back a bit early? I'd like to get a few runs in during the AM, but I need to be pick someone up at PDX at 3:30. I guess that gives me about 4 hours of riding / shuttling if we start at 10:00, and that isn't so bad.

So, I guess I'm probably in. If anyone else wants to come back early, I can drive, and I'll have 5 bikes and seats worth of shuttling capacity until I leave.

PM me for a phone number if you want to make arrangements.

Bingen WA ,Columbia river gorge , hour and a half east of Portland.
You got a long drive ! But its a good ride....
You should just make a weekend out of it. I'm sure SOMEONE going on this ride would be down to do Post Canyon the following day. Also, the Portland Brewing Festival, which is huge, is that weekend and goes all day Saturday and Sunday.

If I were coming all the way from upper WA, I'd be hitting Syncline, maybe a few runs at Post, then heading to Portland for some evening urban followed by a full day of enjoying the best beers in the world (or at least the PNW). In my opinion, they're one and the same!

Take that back I'll be riding with Gunslingger and his buddy so we'll have an open bed pickup..

And Sam looks like we will be there closer to 9 than 10.

We got another coming from Westside freeride so it's looking like a good turnout. We could all meet at flying Jay truck stop on I84 for those that don't know the exact way there?

I also don't mind giving anyone (up to 3-4 people) a ride, but again, I need to bug out earlier than some of the other people planning to go. I have only been once, so it wouldn't hurt if someone wanted to post directions from Hood River.

If I remember right, I cross the Bridge of the Gods and head right, and then can't miss the parking lot... anyone care to confirm?

I-84 to Hood River, cross the Hood River bridge and turn right, trail head is just a couple miles up the road. Just pass the town of Bingen you will see a huge cliff face on your left. at the base of the cliff you will see a road to the left with a small lot. See ya there

I will be meeting Grady at the Flying Jay Truck Stop on I-84 at 7:30 in Troutdale if anyone wants to meet there

Ya don't take bridge of the gods, that's a ways before hood river, it will still work just alot slower driving up the Washington side when you can cruise up I84 on the oregon side. We are meeting at 7:30 to 8:00 at Flying J truck stop in troutdale right on the side of the highway for those that need directions.
