I like the Phobia and some of the Flames. The Peaty would be good if you covered up mini-Steve with a sticker or something.

I love TLD helmets. But like big-ted said, the colors seem to get worse every year.
Just let me get a plain white D2 and I'll have it custom painted by someone else.

I will probaly just pick the least ugliest one.
They still fit me better than anything else out there.
But seriously though, can the flames please get a year off?
Just one.
Maybe their best artist is a pyro who refuses to work on anything else unless the flames make it in.

I love my TL, and I think Peatys version is sick. The most comfortable helmets I've had.

I dont get how a company with such skills can make such lame helmet paint jobs. Are they trying to make some money out of custom paint jobs?

I wonder how many they would sell if they did a plain black one!

I was talking to the manager of Bicycle Centers of Silverlake (great guy) and he said that these helmets are still the same old non-DOT D2's. The SE helmets are the DOT-approved ones.

anyone know which paint jobs get the carbon treatment?

My D2 is up for replacement and as much as i hate it for the crap venting and the fact that the lining moves round when i put it on. They are by far the best looking helmets and there cool. So might have to treat myself

their designs are stuck in the 80s. pretty much every single design is a cookie cut of a cookie cut...

I believe they're really sick, the problem is, being the design they have, it's hard to use them with other clothings... they just won't match up, unlike the older ones which had a more symeticral look to them, what do you think?

The only one I can manage to really look at is the Phobia. The flames are okay, but they're getting old. I wish TLD would to back to circa '02-'03 with the simple racy shapes/pinstripes for at least one of the lids. I just don't really see the appeal with the eyeball and stuff. D2s just don't look that fast anymore.

I think the day I worry about whether or not my clothes match my helmet is the day I quit riding bikes and go back to strutting on the runway.

oh right, this is a helmet thread.....

I actually kind of like the designs. the flames are pretty "racer-esque" and the others are sweet imho because they are different from anything else out there.

if you want matching helmet and cloths go join the smurfs

Over your shoulder whispering
if it's any consolation, the SE isn't looking any better:

look familiar?

Like looking at my lunch box back in 82:

the only one that's relatively original:

Oh, and something we've never seen before :clue:
