Snowmass NMBS Finals

Just sent Griz a little write-up...hopefully he puts it up on Decline soon.
The course is pretty cool, fast lots of turns and some pedaling. Kind of a drag that it is about 3 miles from the Village where most people are staying.

Graves, Kovarick, Leov, Cavalier, Warren, Riffle, Rando and a bunch of JR aussies are all out here shredding the loamy, fast, loose course.

neither here nor there
i didnt recognize anyone from the normal posse at vermont except mrs haderer. i think i saw maybe another 2 photographers even out on the course the whole weekend. also havent heard back from about 80% of the people i've sent stuff to from the event. national champs apparently doesnt count for beans these days?

hope that new snowmass course is good. have fun racing it to the peeps who are there. i'm racing bumper to bumper traffic on i70 coming home from sol vista instead.

Wow, Holmes puttin it down. We'll see how that final goes. What's up with all the serious crashes on the 4X course? Is it really gnarly or something? Built bad? What's the scoop?
donno.. it's the same course as years past i believe. a couple guys i talked to said so, then someone said it was the same as the Mtn States cup. I checked the vid out on Yeti's website & it appears to be identical to the previous years NMBS race set up

Jumps are too big, but tempting for beginners, and waaay to small for the amount of speed pros carry through the course, so things get sketchy. I think it's rolling faster this year too.

The course is nowhere near as bad as last year's. Yes, there are braking bumps, but there will be on any high speed course. There are only one or two sections that are actually rough.
