Can anyone suggest other boards to post this info where we could reach other groups - hikers, horse back riders, paddlers, etc?

This will make it real easy for anyone to email all 5 chairman. You can use the links above to get there and all you have to do is click on the chairpersons link and copy and paste.

I did email the chairman and all the vice chairman as requested on MTBR.com I simply used info from the links here so it sounds intelligent and to the point. Just copy and paste. Its quick and easy. This is what I used and all you have to do is copy and paste it and email all 5 of them, by clicking on the link given If you cant attend the meeting it is the least you could do.

If you or have ever rode/hiked/boated/fished/camped in this area please show your support.

Here it is:

In regards to theCaldwell County Planning Board passing a zoning request by a Florida developer – The Archer Group - which would allow the development of nearly 650 acres along Wilson Creek.
Please slow the planning process and take the appropriate time to plan for the adequate protection of Wilson Creek. Please Reject the development proposal and allow adequate planning. A lot of hard work went into getting Wilson Creek, a national treasure, designated as a Wild and Scenic River, and many value and travel to their county to enjoy the eco-tourism that Wilson Creek offers. This development could have disastrous effects upon the Wilson Creek watershed with regard to cold water fisheries, wildlife habitat, and overall water quality. There will be a huge increase of sediment loading of the water due to road and lot clearing. Please help stop this from happening.

For now

The offer to sell property has been withdrawn. This is positive yet work still remains. The public hearing has been cancelled. However, County commissioners will still hear concerned comments on the subject at their meeting next Monday, August 27, where citizens may urge the commissioners to uphold their earlier imposed 12 month moratorium on zoning changes for development in the Wilson Creek corridor.
