There's a kid in our neighborhood that took an overstuffed chair, put it on a chasis with the engine in the back, called it a couch mobile. This kid got a welding machine for Xmas when he was 14.

Other than it being all metal, no.

I think it is powered by a lawn mower engine. A guy from Finland built it for his kid.
