not to defend what everyone else hates...but he said somebody sent that photo in...so perhaps it's not part of their advertising, but rather just a photo somebody sent in?

i must say I prefer the porn that DHS posted, and I think the frame (and girls) in that photo look like ass...but still...
the picture is from an "American Apparel" add photo shoot not a BMW add. hence bikes to sell T&A

TMX,
I'm BMW's new director of marketing and synergetics. I was taken on as a corporate consultant to help develop the exciting new line of Brooklyn Machine Works brand alcoholic energy drinks, lingere, and birth control.

Nah, Jeeeeest Kiddin':greedy:
I'm one of the new welders here at 16 Powers. I also build the complete bikes and run the CNC mill...and answer phones, email, and test bikes, trail build, etc., etc.
If this thread is indeed about a love for the bikes, their makers and fellow riders, fans and curious on-lookers, then sign me up!
I was probably in 6th grade when I did a doubletake looking at a BMW in the pages of some bike mag, and I've been fascinated with the designs ever since.
Now that I work here, I'm blown away at how deep the roots run in Brooklyn, how bikes are designed and made here, and how committed riders are to the bikes (as evidenced by the existance of literal BMW porn!).
I hope I can contribute, and I promise to limit the T&A in the future:cheers: .

ATTENTION NYC PALS!!! Doc's Hitman has been spotted on 26th St being ridden by the same MFer who stole it. Sounds like it has been sprayed grass green Krylon. Magura's are still original florescent green. Avalanche is still up front and XC bar ends have been installed. (the guy has NO IDEA what he's riding!!!)

If you happen to see the bike and the guy riding it is a dude with greasy long hair (usually in a ponytail) and a pock-marked face, it is not encouraged you approach him because he would gladly kill you or hurt you very badly and I don't want anyone but him being in pain over these bikes! Get a detailed description of the guy to find a cop ASAP.

Inform the police you're not talking about a simple stolen bike case, that there's a grand theft case "being investigated" in Bklyn (would help if they called the three eye-witnesses Doc provided them with from his own detective work!). And that the guy on the bike has already been caught with one of the other stolen bikes and has the possession of stolen goods case in Manhattan still pending.

I'm sorry we don't have the Bklyn case number with us here in Vegas which would help generate action with the "authorities". (scoff scoff)

The thief lives on Ave B and 13th, where he was apprehended with the recovered RL.

Doc's old business partner said he knew this guy from "back in the day" as a notorious bike thief yet allowed him into the shop anyway. He also said he could tell the guy was casing the joint when he was walking around the shop.

Thanks for any help you can provide. If you can wrangle the interest of a near-by cop right when you see the MFer that would be ideal.

We're here in Vegas too. Big thanks to Cedric Gracia and the NWD8 crew for the accommodation!

Anyone else here in the land of silly-cone chests and free booze? We're flying out tomorrow and CAN NOT WAIT to get back to the city and get churning.
We'll be getting some crazy goodie packages from our vegas friends, so as soon as the UPS man comes, we'll be out on the trails doing pR0n reviews.

Sure, but if you want to jump off stuff - it's just plain logic to do it on a fullsuspension bike.
BUMP-Y Reply to page 87! :

Suspension is for rough/bumps, not jumps/drops - harcore jumpers go higher and bigger than I am willing to assume you will likely ever go.

I prefer a fully for most of the time but I love ripping on the HT and will pass and own 51% of riders on their 8" bikes on any trail that isnt a pure rock garden.

Poot on the h8..

Hey Luke, thanks should be going to you for posting the link to pics since the Hitman was never even in fact a Brooklyn Machine Works bike. Also because it belongs to Doc who hasn't been with the company where you recently started in over a year.

The Supertrucker was another one of his personal bikes stolen that morning. If either of those frames show up at the shop or NYPD calls to say they've been recovered, it would be righteous if you let us know.

BTW, the white RL was recovered (by yours truly) three days after it was stolen. Maybe there's some way you can remove that photo from your link or posting so if Nick (or whoever he may have sold it to) is seen riding on it he doesn't get clubbed to death by an over-zealous ill-informed fanatic.

Passed by to take a look, nothing !!! Would have been fun to catch up with homeboy !!! Oh well, karma follows him close enough. his time will come.
Thanks Konkrete. And PLEASE do not get yourself hurt trying to get these bikes back.

If anyone spots the bikes but doesn't want to call the police, feel free to email or call us with as much detail as possible. Time, date, location and description of the person spotted with the bike(s) would be ideal.

Email: ridesuperco@gmail.com. Phone: 801-973-0656.

Thanks again!!

Sneak peek on littermag.com in the techno section. We haven't made any official announcements yet but will soon.

Your friends seem like nice cool people. I thought they were drooling over the new hardtail I was on, when in fact it was the Laek House t-shirt I was wearing. LOL!

They said you'd be there Wednesday. I was on the look-out but um...don't know what you look like to look for you and I didn't spot anyone else wearing one of those totally badass Laek House t-shirts. Did you make it to Vegas? If so, I hope it went well. Lemme know if any SLC shops showed interest but need a little nudging. I'm a sly nudger, they'll never know what nudged them. Nudge, what a funny word to say.

Anyway, if you were there last week, I'm sorry to have missed you because I want to thank you personally for making such a cool smart product.

well, in their defense at least one of them was drooling over the bike.

I've been up to some new and different stuff. Some new shirts soon, a ELVS Hat (my reflective ink) and reflective rim collaboration with Velocity.

The hat (and me) in full reflection. Sorry for the size, I've linked it from Fixed Gear Gallery.

edit: I can't believe that my title still sez 'buy hopes'. what crap.

Sammich, my fuzzy penguin? He's been gone for a little while. Or are you talking about DHS? ;)

Laek Ape, nice work with the roadie cap. It probably glows so bright one would need permission from the FAA to ride with it anywhere near an airport.
