With so many pics coming out of interbike, I thought it would be good to have a thread dedicated to pics of the new equipment that people are most stoked about.

I'll start it off with this Canfield F1 Jedi!

edit: i intended this as a thread for people to post pictures.

I honestly didn't get much chance to look around at new product this year. i spent most of the time at the booth... unless someone was looking for me, then i "convienently" was walking around! hahaha jk

Yah, i'm a little biased, but i'm honestly stoked to see the final versions of the new Nema "Podium" DH short & the "Breather" glove. other than samples early on, i hadn't seen the final product until the show. The gloves are honestly some of the best fitting gloves i've used & the shorts are bitchin as well - light, breathable, & have stretch panels in the right places, but still offering overall protection as a DH short should.

Like i "jokingly" said, i'm a little biased since i work for the company. but hopefully most of you realize that i'm being honest here. If i weren't pumped about this product, i wouldn't even mention it. but i honestly can't wait to get riding again with these!

where the trails are
those gloves do look nice.
I prefer a minimal glove too. I see thin padding and a big terry thumb wipe. Score.
But, white clothes for mountain biking isn't for me. There is dirt EVERYWHERE on my trails, and I fall down.

yah, these gloves are have no pads on the palm or top of glove, big thumb wipe... oops. this pic was one of the first samples. the thumbs are full black. (that way if ya miss the wipe on the thumb, you don't get the thumb all nasty! lol). they'll be avail in black, white, & red... & potentially a blue soon down the road i believe

The only piece of swag that I liked was Hydrapak's reversible reservoir bladder. It was super easy to open and fill, you could reverse it to clean, and it was so strong and flexible you could stand on it.

Crank bros new headsets are pretty neat, corsair bikes look promising, and I saw something called an "air hub" in Taiwan alley that was basically a sturmey 3 spd with a shraeder valve on the shell. There was a big language barrier but I am pretty sure the idea was either (a) a reserve air chamber for filling tires; or (b) air-assisted propulsion.

worst bike ever. come on guys, what were you thinking with that design? it may ride well, but it looks like an abortion. :disgust1:
How can a bike that weighs in at 31 pounds, climbs like a beast and has a full eight inches of travel to work with be the worst bike ever. Its a great design, beefy, pretty much the ultimate trail bike!

i suggest you learn how to read. i never said it was the "worst bike ever" in terms of performance and i even stated that it may ride well. i'm simply saying that for all the promise of the features, it looks like a giant poo stain - kina like the pontiac aztec of bicycles.

those marin's do look a bit wussy, but at least it looks like the same guy designed the bike as a whole. that canfield looks like three crack-heads cobbled some tubes together and spanked a wheelset on it.

btw - interesting that a 31lb 8" travel bike has yet to get the "flexy" comment from the monkies in this jungle.

Nah you got that backwards - the Marins have too much hydroforming and awful welds. I think the new Canfield would look tons better with mono color scheme or at least black or raw/silver linkage. I think its more goofy on some of the Canfield bikes that have skyhigh straight TT's - is it a XC racing bike or what?

I always make a point to check out the Sombrio booth. This year they had a 10 year anniversary edition short that was (faux) perforated white leather with matching real perforated leather gloves (including carbon knuckle protection. I could never pull that off, but hot diggity it was P-I-M-P for riding gear. Their women's line is really nice this year too.

how so.....the taco is covering the chainring around 1 through 4 o'clock rather than from around 3 o'clock down to around 7 o'clock......they cut the taco on the guide wrong, and it's not going to do it's job of protecting the chainring......especially once the bike gets into it's travel......

how does that make me slow, all knowing one?
