unix was developed thirty odd years ago by ATT. Linux was made by linus torvalds and the open source movement as a low cost unix like alternative. Berkley was an early member of a group unix developers and has the right to use the term unix. OSX is BsD unix with the aqua gui.

Did you mean Day 37 or Week 37?.......
I meant WEEK 37. The way Apple products are manufactured, the first few digits in the serial number are the week of the year that they were manufactured. Thus, my serial number was XX37XXXXXX. Meaning, it was a WEEK 37 touch. They are defective.
Apple then changed the picture on the front of the box to Macy Gray for week 38 and on iPod touches. They are not defective. There was a backlash of returns and exchanges for the defective ones, so Apple put out an update to the firmware to tweak the video drivers. Now, the people that don't know about the defect, can't tell as badly as they could before.
So the moral of the story is yes, I know what I am talking about, it is a WEEK 37 touch, and if you have a week 37 touch, and you are still within your return period, you should probably return or exchange it.

Apptapp does not work on the ipod touch. Neither does ifuntastic. As of yet there is no way to install external applications on the touch. AND, as of the last iphone update, they took that functionality out of the iphone.
I have faith in the iphone dev team though! It will be cracked soon!
