If any of you all didn't know Chase (WKC) was in a motorcycle accident. He was cut off by a car and he was doing 50. He broke his foot in a couple places and already has had 2 surgeries. he also broke his hip or pelvis. talked to him today and he is hurting but doing better.

I hate to hear that - Chase is a really cool cat, great rider...amazing knowlegde about all things bikes too...he always gives excellent biking advice!

I'm thankful he's alive, sounds like it could have been worse!

Prayin' for ya Chase!

Whats up guys

DanW just saw me in the hospital, and told me about the thread.

Damage report:

I'm in good spirits, but will be here for a week more or so. Dumbass driver cut me off.
*Shattered foot, with membrane on bone missing and 1/3" hole in foot. Will likely need skin grafts to patch.
*Pelvis minorly cracked in 3 places, but such that it will heal naturally without operation fairly quickly.

Looking at about 1 year for full recovery, 8 months before i can ride a bike again. But, i will be going to riding locations to snap pics and be with the sport. I am also going to be building a new FR bike in my downtime so i can go right out and ride when i heal. Thanks for the support guys and i will see you all soon enough.

-Chase

Get well soon Chase! Make sure when building that bike up, do it slowly so you don't have a new bike lying around while all you can do is stare at it!

Hello to all. It's been almost a year since I've hopped on the Monkey, and now I'm all healed up and ready to ride. Hope everyone is well! And I've got a new ride now, and it needs to see some dirt, so if anyone ever wants to ride near Greensboro just give me a shout.

The new ride:

= Kenda Nevegal DTC 2.35" Tires
= Shimano Saint derailleur mated to XT 770 Shifter
= Macneill DU Bushing pedals

haha...check the dates cecil. this thread originated last year, chase just replied to the thread stating he's all healed up and ready to ride. and yes, MC crashes suck!

i need to ride that bike chase, looks like that might be an option to replace the bottlerocket if i ever get rid of it.
