Anyone run an Advantage 2.4 on the front? If so, have you also run a Minion F, and what were the differences between the two? I've been real curios to know if the high volume gives any/much sidewall flex when you're really pushing it into a berm.

Huck - nice to see you on the flipside from HCOR... :biggrin:

Butch and Fras - the tire "hacksawed its way through chainstays???"

...WTF?
:think: :)

Do you mean it was too wide to fit most frames, or that it would easily roll of the rim...?

I'm at a loss here.

Tire clearance when helter skelters were the big ticket item was not exactly...great. The compound is so stiff and the cornering knobs stick out at like 45 degrees. With the not so stiff rims of the day, the wheel would flex like crazy when pedaling, and the tire would rub it's way right through chainstays.

Wow...

I'm not sure what freaks me out more: The tire buzzing the chainstays and damaging them, or the wheel deflecting so much that the tire buzzes the chainstay...

Either way ---> Yikes. :shocked:
