Haha. Don't scare the kid.

But seriously; most of the Washington DH racing is found in Oregon and Idaho. Beacon will be a go this year if I have anything to say about it. Oh, and the NMBS is going to make a stop at Tamarack this year.

We're working on the dates for the 2008 Fluidride Cup now.
Downhill and Dual Slalom at each race.

Partnerships with Petr Kakes of Ski Bowl, and the ODS in PA is confirmed!

We'll try not to conflict with MSC's, Norbas, WC's etc.

6 or 7 races, one a month, March/April - Sept.

2 venues guaranteed. Mt. Hood and Port Angeles for sure. With a possible third venue, 7th race.

Overall series awards. Guaranteed Pro purses to at least the equivalent of the current Ski Bowl payout. Massive Raffle at each event.

Hurricane Racing will perform the timing for all events.

Race series page will be up at Fluidride soon.

Further Q on the sanctioning: will it be NORBA-only so we don't have to hold an OBRA license?
AMEN!
Also, if Petr runs it concurrently with Ski Bowl races. It won't screw the Oregon peeps from the series overall.

Are you guys trying to contact Randy at Willamette (Oregon Adventures) about including there site. That would also rock. That makes it a confirmed 9 race series.

Dual Slalom? 4 CROSS!!!!! PA already has there course and Skibowl wouldn't take alot. Infact the beginner course could overlap the 4cross event. Plus its VERY fan friendly.

All fellow monkeys should do there best to support this up and coming series. And Props to Fluidride and Petr. For any of you who have never put on a race, it's a hell of a lot of work. Let alone to put on a 6 race series. Thanks guys for bring the racing scene back from the dead around here!

I echo that sentiment. Anything less than a huge turnout would be both shocking and disappointing. Petr and Simon are both top-notch people with some very dedicated help to back their goals.

The only question I have is where do I sign up?

And don't for get the ODS and their land advocacy. The series absolutely wouldn't be happening without them.
Yes, major kudos to the Olympic Dirt Society - even if this series wasn't to take place - for all the work they've done and will hopefully continue to do for us.

p.s. - If/when you print some up, be sure to bring some flyers by the shop...we'll gladly post them for all to see.

For PA, do you guys have any rough idea of what the courses will be for each cat?

The courses are not set just yet and won't be for a few months.
But there are already courses there fit for all skill levels. Our goal is to have fresh courses for each race at the particular venue. This way it maintains a level of excitement for racing something new at each event.

wow that schedule looks awesome! Very nice job at spreading the dates out and it looks like no race days interfere with any nationals

Unfortunately Beacon nor Willamette are included in our series.
We will do our best to schedule around them, and the Ashland spring thaw.

These are not set in stone yet... but close.
