I Live in Sacramento but don't mind driving 100 miles to get to a sweet track or park that has some nice jumps. I have recently checked out pictures of Brentwood and honestly the place looks so fun and awesome to ride at but I am not sure that its the type of place to just go ride and have a fun day messin around? Is it more of a place to practice race or is it a place I can just go to to have a fun day and mess around on the jumps and stuff?

Any other locations anyone know about in the area? There used to be a place by my house called "Bourbon St." that had some of the best jumps and rhythm sections i have seen but they tore it all down and built houses there.

Any one with some suggestions?

Yeah been to Auburn but I am more so looking for a small jump park or something like that. No trails or anything?

I been to the Folsom MTB Skills park but honestly its pretty lame.

Where else might these types of places be?

Meaning places that have like a skills development area as well as some fun jumps

Pleasanton Bike Park sounds more of what you're looking for. But damn it's an eff'n drive. I had a pretty damn good time tho.

Auburn has lines depending on your skill level. The first dub on the left line is a 5ft gap. The middle line is a bit more, I can only hit the first three in the middle. Auburn's been a bit neglected lately so me and my boy are gonna clean it up when the rains come.

What/where do you ride now in Sac? When jumping what are you riding?

Well in Sacramento I usually dont ride anywhere since it doesnt seen to have any places to ride. I live in Carmichael. I usually just go up to Downieville or Northstar. I went up to Auburn last weekend by myself and had a good time though. Just looking for places to jump in the dirt. My boy is from a motocross background and loves to jump so we are looking for a couple places to go. I am riding a Specialized Big Hit.

Yea Pleasanton sounds bout right. There's some other spots tucked in and around Sac. But most like you know are skep about letting out that info. Too many spots been dozed. I had a spot literally down the street from me, hella bad ass spot. Kids started f'n the place up and the community flattened it. I still flash on the neighborhood kids about that.

I'm down the street from you in Fair Oaks. I ride street/trails with my 20 and 24 rigs. For DH and some DJ I ride my Foes. Went to N* Sunday but didn't ride cuz of the snow. Couldn't afford to get sick. As for spots around Sac I'll PM you.

People actually hit that set?

I went to the prison jumps to learn how to jump my 20. There were a few nice tables and a couple fun doubles under the trees. Just say hi to a couple of people when you're riding in Auburn and if you ride with them enough, you'll eventually see a bunch of good spots.

Good luck!

Finaly! Davis jumps info...

I just moved back to davis and have been driving by this spot every couple days hoping to find the guys who are building it. I remember riding out here a few years ago when it was just 2 sets of big doubles. While I was gone our DJs out by Putah Creek got torn down. I would love to get in touch with the guys and do some digging. Anyone know when they usually go out there?

There is no beginner jumps at all and the jumps are good size and if you dont have flow dont waste your time. they are for the advance riders only. the trails are locked up and only two people have keys so dont go out there unless you know one of us. the jumps get bigger and harder every week.

heres a lil list for ya
-Carlmont
-Calibazas (maybe)
Sand Hill Ranch (really fun to just go and have a good day)
Pleasanton bike park
Pacifica (lower trail, Boyscout)
Santa Cruz Fun Zone (skate park for bikes)
Aptos Post Office Jumps
Sycamore DJs

well i had planned to go there, doing a small xc ride 1st, or at least what I thought was going to be small (brought 2 bikes)
but then i stopped, logged onto mtbr, saw some pics of riders riding w/o helmets and spandex, so I proceeded to chastise/internet battle them for the rest of the day...

but seriously, these pedally folk made me climb 3600 vertical, so I was shot and didnt make it to davis

on the flip side, was shown a secret freeride spot (which I wont share w/ anyone not on the inside, dont even bother asking and if you know where it is, dont post it)

check some of the later pics

I haven't tried that but I love that there are so many options to build your burger. A Stanford session sounds good too.

I heard Livermore has a Bike Park opening soon.

Santa Clara is the closest BMX track. Red Morton Skatepark in Redwood City is good but they do give tickets if your not careful:plthumbsdown:

Shells is close to San Mateo also.
