Can someone quickly explain how the eccentric headtube system works. I understand the two pinch bolts, but how can it change the angles?

It is just that, the headtube sleeve is drilled to be eccentric, ie it is drilled at an angle, not 90 degrees parallel. When it is rotated either direction this means it is either +/- steeper or slacker, depending on the angle they bored it out.

the msisle was one of the nicest 4x frames ever... perfect geometry, a bit heavy but everything else was just perfect... last years mk2 looked really ugly... will there be a new one for 08 ?

the 224 is still one of the nicest frames around...love the red one !

Well how do the two bolts adjust it? if you tighten it up on one, it will change the angle? and vise versa?

135 rear end too - you're gonna have to buy a new rear wheel if you're upgrading .. . . . . is it a 73mm BB as well? I can't see that. Will make a nice light and narrow bike if it is.

The 135 rear is a bit of a tough call. The older ones were 150mm, but due to heel clearance issues and the fact that it didn't add much in the way of stiffness (due to the horizhold pivot), they decided to do without it.

It's a pain for previous 224 owners such as our team members who all have 2-3 wheelsets.
