If it's a single speed, it might act like a chain tensioner.
Aye. The idler pulley that came with the guide (e.thirteen) was rubbery, and eventually got torn to peices using it at a tensioner. So I just fired up the lathe and made something that fit the application better. Also, with the gear ratio I'm using, the chain is too long/too short to use the tensioner pulling up.

It holds.. for a few hours. But eventually, the outboard bearing loosens enough for the guide to move rendering me stupid or with a broken face while cranking away.

Thanks a ton Brad. Those NemPro bars/stem are going to look KILLER on there.... come xmass time that is ;)

My trials project is almost ready to be taken to the shop. Have the design finalized and have the majority of the bike modeled in solidworks. It's going to be one fun bike.

Welp, the pops has re-done the X-Frame in Ti and a 29'er. It was built specific for a rohloff.
9'ers and Cross bikes are where my father wants to go, but I plan on doing a 5inch slopestyle bike of some sort once my current project is finished up.

Cheers,
Aaron

PS. Anyone who cares to know anymore, please PM me. I'm done hi-jacking this thread :thumb:

IMO a grove your bike would be better w/a rear tensioner if you really need one...

Reason being, if you bash the CG from the bottom it could rotate and cause chain too skip = you eat ****...

Well if you would read the post you would see that it was the only low travel fork I had lying around. And that I put it on so I could roll around on the bike till my 08 DJ 1 comes in.

…but yeah that requires effort on your part which well yeah

Camera is a canon 400d, lens used was the kit lens I have another one but it’s a fixed 50mm. Want some more lenses but it’s pricey and my bike and some other stuff is priority.

I have had fun on it and it is an awesome bike and set up thanks for all the comments, when I stop being lazy here in a sec I will go take some full bike pics and post them up.

EDIT: Oh yeah about the 50/50s they are the brand new 08's which have had some stuff worked on compared to the 07's it seems. My friend has the 07's and had some issues but I have had none
