It would be a travisty if these trails got plowed. I was there last year after christmas, and am heading back out to socal on the 4th. As a jump builder myself, I wish you the best of luck. We had to fight for our trails too and won, dont give up.

I usually ride on the other side of the pool, but it doesn´t matter.

Done.

Sucks man. Our "Wal-Mart" jumps are in danger as well...Same ****tee; Homeless crackheads living in the bushes drawing unneeded attention to the jumps. They get kicked out and two months later they are back, and in larger numbers!! The authorities seem to think the jumps are the problem, stupid.

i just signed! its really unfortunate seeing this stuff happen. Our local dirt jump spot in toronto has recently been plowed. We tried to rebuild but the city decided to cut down 6-7 huge trees off the side of the hill, which are now right in the middle of everything.... its a shame to see this happen, the dirt jumps now look like a mess with all the fallen trees.

thanks for signing, today we are taking back our land from the punkers, should get interesting
Film it......of course.

But I wonder what tearing out dirtjumps does for a homeless/teenage party problem when those people aren't there for the dirtjumps to begin with.

Why not deal with the problem directly? What does the city think it's going to accomplish if the space is still there with just the jumps plowed?

Dude, cities don't think. just hire a bunch of bureaucrats to make rash decisions. boom, problem solved.

When I get phat I'm going to have a posse of bureaucrats wearing gold chains and ****.

While you certainly seem very well informed of the minute intricacies of government workings, ponder that I might actually be bringing up a point of defense to save some dirtjumps.:)

Because if I were in this situation, I would absolutely exhaust every possible avenue.

At least it sounds like the city informed them that they're planning on tearing down the jumps, most places don't get that luxury.
You're 'kind of' in the area......do you know who owns the land?

I'd start there and then find out more details on what exactly they hope to accomplish by tearing them out. All I know is what Carter Holland wrote on that petition.....there may be more to it that.

But if it really is just people that aren't there for the jumps, making that very clear to the property owners might help save them and focus their attention on the real problem.
