Just curious, what are the Bountiful DH tracks like? I'm heading to SLC tomorrow for an interview, may be moving there in a month and I'm a little worried about riding potential. any info would be great. sorry for the thread hi-jack, sounds like a great schedule. :busted:

huh... "Utah State Champs Series" ... w/ 2 races out of the state! lol
looks like a good schedule! will post up on Pinnedmtb.com as well!
would like to try & hit up one of those races if possible!
Pommerelle is 90 minutes from SLC. White Pine is 3-4 hours, so they're both really close. They're both pretty much unknown outside this area, but about as fun as anywhere in the country. The Brian Head race is on the new course, and one of the best places to just go and ride/hang out that I've been to. It's pretty close to So. Cal (about 3 1/2 hours from Vegas).

The Bountiful tracks are pretty fun with a good mix of single track, tech, wide open double track. There are 5-6 main trails and a lot of options. There is a trail called Parrish Creek that is about 40 minutes long with 5500-6000 elevation drop. This is where most of the local racers train/ride while the resorts are closed. You'll find 20-40 riders there on some weekends in the spring.

We can usually ride for most of the winter, but all the trails there are under 2-3 feet of snow right now. The SLC area has a lot of places to ride - 7-8 lift served resorts within 1-2 hour drive and 2-3 really good ones within 30-60 minutes. You could live here and ride a new place every day if you wanted.
