It's not a 2008 model. In an interview with Patrick Morewood he mentioned this design - Single pivot linkage designs have several different takes- the one being Kona and the original Turner designs, and the other being Cannondale; Foes; Commencal and Turner DHR style designs where the linkages are much smaller, and the linkages sit much lower on the frame, giving a very low centre of gravity. I am currently working on one of these type of designs, mainly because of the low Cof G and the fact that I can get a very low leverage rate of 2.3: 1.
That would be an 09 frame if anything. 08 models for everyone are already being built, shot and are in catalogs for eurobike next week.
Lower cog, improved ratio, and most of the stress gets translated into the low parts from the frame which allows other tubing to be lighter
