So I need a new Camcorder. The last one was stolen from my apartment, but thankfully they didn't get the home porn collection.

I have decided I want to go HD.
I'm 90% sure I want memory card recording.
I'd like it if it worked easy with my Mac.
Price isn't a huge concern, but I want to get what I pay for.
It should work well in low light, but without the night vision, as home porn looks skanky in the night vision setting.

Any suggestions from the tech department?

I produce indy films and action sports videos...i've switched to a JVC Everio HD7. It's an awesome camcorder, great in low light, too. Manual Focus ring, 16x9 specific, Aperture and Shutter adjustment...it's a solid camcorder. It's a bit tricky getting it into Final Cut, though. You either have to capture it to iMovie HD and import to Final Cut, or you Import and convert the files in Quicktime Pro from .tod to apple's HD files, then import into Final Cut.
