What a great looking bike! And you can get it in other colors besides white.

I can't wait to test on of these things out. The 75°/18" seat tube(on the medium) are kinda weird, but I'm curious as to how the thing rides. I can't wait till MTBs have single-sided swingarms, a la Ducati Monster/Honda NC&VFR/BMW.

Pretty cool looking bike. The one sided lower swing arm had me thinking for a second though.
I too was skeptical at first. Now, neither of us has really been able to wring this thing out to its limit, let alone even ride it. But, those seat stays appear to be massive, and the frame/chainstay pivot is super beefy. The swing link and its hardware is also beefy as hell.

I hated my AS-X because I couldn't pedal through rocky sections without all that gawdawful pedal feedback. Then while trying to sprint past a buddy in a baby head minefield, the swing arm tore in half. The Seven, while still a single pivot, has the pivot in a completely different spot than the AS-X; the pivot is much more rearward. In fact, the pivot looks to be in a similar spot to a Turner DHR. I've a feeling this suspension will handle a lot like the designs I like, only with a stiffer rear end. The chainstay that bike does have is ultra short and simple, so hopefully it'll be dang stiff.

*optimistically waits for chance to ride a Seven*

Yeah, wait a minute. What about a new AS-X??
I love my AS-X, but I would like a little more advanced suspension and a slight weight loss. I would happily upgrade with those changes. They better not make it an 8" bike. 7-7.5 is juuuust right.

Anyone know what kind of rear axle the Seven is going to use? Maybe another Yeti proprietary axle/hub setup? I assume it needs to be something very solid and stiff to keep the torquing to a minimum.

Can't wait to get my hands on one of these! In white, too ;)

the new version of the ASX will use a similar sliding/car setup as the 303. those are slated for 2009. think 7.5" mini-dh/freeride geometry.

the seven is indeed several months out from actually being available in any capacity.

i'm not sure i understand the seven. it looks alright, the one sided chainstay had me scared for awhile but it's starting to grow on me. i couldn't see myself ever buying one though, it doesn't seem like a very practical bike for the yeti lineup. it's a little more aggressive than the 575, but they desperately need something to fit between it and the 303. hopefully the new asx is as cool as it could be with the sliding rails.
