The first day in the mid-60's, so i put off studying to go out and mess around on the bike.

I discovered a few things;

First off, I'm a beginner, so I'm still getting used how to build jumps and carry speed and all that fun stuff.

I think my old MTN tires are holding me back a bit...in fact, I think my whole bike is holding me back. I've got a Steelhead with a Marz All-Mtn and it weighs close to 38lbs, and that's without gears and a front brake. I feel this in the air because the bike doesn't come towards me, it always drops out before I'm ready to land.

Second, I feel that I'm on the verge of understanding the movements for the flat 180, but again, the bike, especially the fork, seem to soak up much of the initial bunny hop.

Third, I'm pretty positive my Hayes HFX is messed up. I've bled it so many damn times, and right now, it doesn't really stop me. I think it'll have to go to a shop.

I think I may go look at the Fit Pro I was before. I decided not to buy it then, but I recieved my tax return, and I think I might buy a BMX, sell the Steelhead for whatever I can get ($250 anyone?) and save up for a Thunderbird.

So that's my "6 days spring" update.
