Hockey season ended two weeks ago last Wednesday. It was my senior year and my high school team finished fourth in division one states. Since then I have ridden every single day but two. Today was one of those days I did not get to ride due to bad weather and family obligations. Now I'm sitting here, venting to ridemonkey, slightly buzzed, that because I couldn't ride my bike I am in a ****ty mood. Has anybody else noticed how such a simple aspect of our lives has so much importance? Both days I couldn't ride I ended up feeling depressed and it's wild that riding bikes plays such an important role in my life... Tell me I'm not alone on this one...

nope, you're not alone. my riding time is somewhat limited because of my kids, however, they've pretty much come to accept that they have to let me out once in awhile otherwise "mom is grumpy" lol. in the summer i can ride pretty much every day every second week. it's awesome. even if all i do is go to the pumptrack, if i'm just on my bike, i'm a happy camper.

Since I moved to San Diego 2 years back I have not gotten to ride a lot. I moved here to take over my uncle's independent car dealership and I have been working like a madman. I've been climbing a lot but something has been missing. Finally I decided to take off sundays and I got on my bike. Now I have something that I used to do all the time to release stress. Since I got back on the bike my sales have tripled and I'm working a little less. Also, I take each day with a little less worry and stress and I believe it is all because I'm riding again. It's great to hit the runs and jumps and not think about the past work week. Thought I would share. Go big!!!!!
