Thanks for the update. Have you guys had any luck looking into speeding the lift up on race weekends? I understand the constraints the state puts on you in regulating the speed. Any way we can get it a bit faster for just race weekends?

can't wait to get out on the mountain this weekend to rejuvinate the trails for this year. Hope to see a bunch of you monkies out there too.

If you're planning on showing up tomorrow, and still haven't been in touch with Mike Hartlove, it would be best to call at this point.

Looks like getting up there this weekend isn't going to happen. Any idea if they'll be doing this again soon?

We'll be there again this Sunday 4/20
Built a new bridge to rock drop in the Edgewoods dirt park.
Layed out a new drop into a steep chute off of HighRoller which leads to a new 20' road gap.
Should be able to complete both this weekend.
2008 should be great at Wisp Resort.

I'm bummed out I am living across the country from Wisp this year. Good times have always been had there, met some of my best friends, had a lot of drinks, chased some rednecks.

Good times, you kids have fun out there.

Wow Wisp guys! Just looked at the pictures! I am super excited this year! Looks liek you folks have put in some hard work already. Remind me to bring you guys a 30 pack present for being awesome and putting up with us for the past 3 years! See you soon!

Ok so I called the Wisp hotel to reserve my room for the first race, and asked about the "Mountain bike racer rate".

They said they have not been infomed of any special rate this summer for racers, and rooms are from $89-$109/night. I think last year the racer price was $69.

Anyway Can Mike or Wispoutdoors tell me if a racer discount is in the works?

Thanks.

Is there anyway we could get some more information about the first race? I am finding it rather hard to find info unless it hasnt been decided yet. Like what the schedule is for Saturday and Sunday and if there is still a "racers rate" like Delmar asked. I am looking forward to racing and riding the new trails.

Haha, Savage Freeride Park! Yeah, by the end of last season, there was some pretty stuff bieng built at Wisp, like some skinnies, a couple rock rides on the race course, and my personal favorite, Seth's Gap on Squirrel Cage (<><><>, hahaha). Definitly looking forward to openning day at Wisp!!
