What do you guys think of the Commencal Supreme DH (frameset) & would you buy one over a Giant Glory even if the Glory was about $600 cheaper?

I know these posts are over-abundant on here, but I don't know anyone around here who has a Commencal, which is in itself sort of a plus (at least to me).

Thanks in advance for any info.

I love my Commencal the ride is quite unique and the travel feels a bit more than is actually there. They are quite nimble in the tech yet very stable at high speed. I do not know many people that have the Glory but I have not heard bad things about it. The Commencal is a favorite for me, I previously rode a V10 and a M3. Just my opinion. You will be happy with whatever you decide i think.

what year are you thinking about buying? I like the newer ones much better than the old ones due to chainguide clearances and linkage bearing life. Otherwise they are cool. P.S. I like the smaller sizes due to lower standover.

I was thinking of buying an 08.

What's up with clearance for the E-13?

Your face.
The Glory and Commencal are two completely different types of rides.

The Glory is more "moto" style, full out and smash if you have to.

The Supreme is a "lite" bike, meaning it reacts better if you are more precise in your riding. It doesn't seem to dig plowing at all, nor does it reward careless braking.

You should definitely try out a commencal before you buy. Its a very different ride from everything else that I've seen, but if you can ride it right its fast as hell.

there is no problem what so ever, simply put you need to have the proper spindle length and like other post stated 57.5 will do just fine

E-13 worked specifically with Commencal to get their guides on their bikes and they come stock on the Commencal Supreme DH Team and frame only

they'll fit no worries ;)

as for the ride of the bike, it is a race bike that loves to be finessed and rewards its riders amazingly through berms and rock gardens. plus it will have you finding the apex of every corner easier that you ever have before

if you are a plougher this isn't the bike for you, buy a specialized demo or something along those lines
