Good Morning!!

Whew! ...Friday is finally here!! :happydance:

Not a whole lot going on last night. I got a haircut and then stopped by a friends house and had a few cold tops with him while we tried to get a new throttle cable on his lawnmower. The day was absolutely beautiful...temps in the mid 70's, the humidity was low, and the flowers are bustin' out everywhere. Today is supposed to be a repeat, so I'm going to try and get out for a ride after work since we're supposed to get rain for the weekend. Hope everyone has a stellar weekend.

i'm up early to register for classes. i'm pretty pumped because i got all of the courses i wanted to take on the first shot.

probably going to go back to sleep for a little while now. getting up around 9-930ish to get some breakfast and then meet up with one of my friends to go climbing. this will be the first time i've gone climbing since the day before i left for vermont in august. it's been way too long.

I hate all you people and your warm weather. We have a chance of snow all weekend. I am ready for summer dammit. We still don't have any solid plans this weekend. The spring time around here is kind of a drag.

Morning monkeys!

I'm going to Norwalk today to do a pre-construction survey of a housing development. I suggested we sent the whitest white boy, but he is on vacation today, so I have to go.

Tonight, I'm heading to Mass for my 1st cousin once removed's Bat Mitzvah (my cousin's daughter). Hopefully the weather will hold on Sunday for a ride somewhere.

Watchin' you. Writing it all down.
high 70s here today but supposed to get cold again tomorrow with the potential for thunderstorms.

Hard crazy road ride last night, ranted about that in the road forum.

Going to take Willow and meet mommy for lunch. Then we'll putter in the yard finishing up the mulch and I can call that project finished.

Weekend ride plans will be dictated by the weather but I have the feeling that cold road rides are probably going to be on tap.

Pissing with rain here. Had an awesome storm last night.
We were at a friend's house for dinner and sitting in their outdoor jacuzzi when it hit. Started with huge hailstones, then went onto a fantastic lightning show really close-by. Cool.
Been online this morning ordering my bike build. Can't wait to get everything on the frame. Joy.

Have a good day people.

I am no longer jealous of your snow. It was a perfect for a ride yesterday, already have the tan lines going.

morning monkeys.

i had another great ride yesterday. normally i only go out for 1-1.5 hours. yesterday i got on this new path that was really cool. lots of rollercoaster type hills and dips with the occasional cluster fvck of rocks. i was enjoying the ride so much until i realized that i had been on this trail for quite some time now and there was NO end in sight. eventually i stopped and turned around, only to realize it was 2:00 and i was easily a half hour away from where i got on the trail and another 20 or so minutes to the house. i hightailed it trying to beat the clock. found a shortcut that was riddled with small rocks down a steep incline. i had to walk one section of it and almost crashed, but was thrilled that i rode down sections that i would have never even attempted only a few months ago. i finally got home with only seconds to spare with the school bus arriving and my boss calling the cell phone wondering where i had gone to.

surprisingly i was sore and very tired yesterday but today i feel great.

NOOB lessons for the day:

1. don't continue along a path indefinitely when you have to be somewhere at a certain time

2. don't forget you still have to ride BACK

(oh...and i saw 2 HUGE deer during the ride...very cool)

some more pics of the new path taken on the Lake Saltonstall trail

Morning. I'm exhausted!! :dead: The rock show last night was sooo good! Wishing I was going tonight! :( Not a lot going on this weekend. My daughter's b-day party is tomorrow, so that should be fun and then maybe a ride (road?) on Sunday. Hoping to just relax more than anything. The wife gets back from Boston tonight!

Morning - more middle school baseball action last night. Liam's team won 15-6 and he got to catch the last two innings and he did well. It is nice to see the 6th graders getting playing time and doing well.

Well this may be an unplanned day off for me. My car's a/c may need some work which will take the better part of the day.

:bonk:
I am keeping my fingers crossed that I go outside and my car won't start. I do not want to go in to work today. I could do everything I need to from home. And get more done. DAMMIT!

Do you have to be there to explain to people how to clock in properly?

Good morning! Laura, I AM working from home and you are right, it's amazing what i can get done when it's quite and no distractions.

Bought a new used wheel set last night and ordered the rest of the parts to convert my bike to SRAM as well as some other goodies, finally acting like I'm a mountain biker instead of an internet forum poster!

Have a great weekend ya'll!

Got a couple hours of shop time in last night. Finished re-building my bike and started re-building my wifes bike. It sucked having to pass up a couple days of trail riding, but now that my bike is back together, hopefully I can get out next week.

Playing Disc Golf most of the day tomorrow. Heres to hoping the weather holds out.

I think I am going to leave at some point and go home to work. My office is full today. I need to get somewhere with no internet is what I need to do.

hippie. :busted:

last day of rehab medicine for me today, which means no more hideous, hilly 12.8 mile commute. that commute proved to be more man than me. :(

4 weeks of neurology starting monday and then i'm DONE.

Yo. Heaviest snowfall of the season yesterday. The city's a skating rink so I didn't ride in today. Forecast is for nearly 70F tomorrow and Sunday...figures.

Plan on doing no work today...maybe getting drizzunk at lunch or something.

I got out of bed and I might go to school in a little bit. Still pretty sick but I need to pick up my work so I don't get to far behind.
