Didn't they all break in 2006? Why does it have to be from that year (or that model)?

I remember one year where there seemed to be cracked Demos everywhere. Maybe it was 2005? I'm sure 90% or more of them are still fine.

Yeah I think it was 05, the first year they had the Demo 8 out. they fixed it for 06 and since then very few have been broken.
