I went out a couple times recently, but only once did I find anything worth mentioning.

Had a decent haul from a creek bottom full of Ashe trees. Could've easily filled my entire backpack, but decided not to get greedy.

Best food ever.

just wet my pants laughing.

But seriously Burly, is it easy to id the ones that are safe to eat?
Yea, morels are easy to tell. There is something called a "false morel" that I've never seen that doesnt really look alot like a morel, but apparently they call them that because they're close enough that people eat them and get sick/die occasionally.

And by the way, my feet are pretty hairy.

Just cut them in half if you are in doubt. Morels are hollow.

I never thought I would see the day when BS goes foraging. Did you brink your rocket launcher, hippie?

I partake of nature's bounty in many ways, and I am always armed in doing so.

Hmm never seen those around here. I'll have to check after the controlled burns and see if any come up.

I have a crop of Hen of the Woods growing on an oak tree in my yard. Those are good.

And of course, these

I want to learn more about them. I can't get them around here as far as I know. We have been starting to see Laurels and Rhodendruns return in the hills. Maybe we can start to see a fungus revival as well. I have been seeing lots of salamanders this year...
