what do you monkeys tip your pizza delivery guy? what do you base the tip on? I have started delivering pizzas and I get tips ranging from $1 to $13 and I havent had any orders over 3 pies yet. I never expect a tip just seems like everyone does it.

When I was growing up my parents didn't tip the pizza guy, but when I went to college we would tip any where from a buck to 10 pending on how much money we could scrounge up and how many pizzas we ordered

Haha, I kind of miss living close enough to civilization that people would actually bring food to my door.

where i live its close enough together that its not far to deliver a pizza but its not close enough that people can walk over and get a pie. most of the people in my area commute down towards nyc and other middle nj towns. its a middle to upper middle class area.

He's a pizza delivery guy. He doesn't deserve a tip.

Wait - I have one - "get a job not delivering pizzas".

:D
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Not taking into consideration they're:

A: Paid by the hour.
B: Usually comp'd for their gas.

So, what more do they want. Bike shop guys dont get tips..well unless you count a 6 pack here and there. You don't tip your cashier at a grocery store.

If they get paid hourly wages(not server wages) then they don't need a friggin tip. Unless its a hot chick. But i've never seen a hot pizza delivery girl so i guess that's not relevant

its gotta suck to be a delivery guy now without a hybrid.
Phoenix would be a good market for a fleet of Dominos/Pizza Hut, etc. gas scooters that were all lit up with company colored "under lights" or whatever they're called. Not like your pie's gonna get cold...

When I delivered them, I made $4 an hour. 3 years ago.

Not sure how it is elsewhere, but I'm fairly certain a good number of the pizza slingers out there make server wages.

My own world inside my head
Here in California, there making at least 8 dollars an hour, and get comps for there gas.

.

Things that will make me NOT tip, when they pull into my driveway like a bat out of hell, or radio blasting so I can hear them from five miles away, Manors, DO THEY SMELL LIKE SMOKE.<nothing like losing your appetite as your food is delivered.

What will make me want to tip, starting with do they respec the fact they are coming to my home, does the delivery person have good manors, condiments, change at hand stuff like that

So, if they bring you a manor, or can it also be an estate, they are golden???

20% of the order.

I also order online so they see the tip before they leave the shop. Often times they will bypass other orders to bring me mine first. The pizza is always hot when it gets to me. :D

Between 3 and 5 bucks.

If you don't tip you're just cheap. If you're not gonna' tip go get it yourself. Making $8.00/hour is barely enough to survive on, so cough it up.

$12 for crappy pizza + $3 tip = empty wallet and stomach pains.

$10 for some whole wheat flour, canned tomato sauce and super dank toppings + 25 min at 350 + 1 Highland IPA = happy GED.

We stopped getting pizza delivered because Papa John's and Pizza Hut would not stop blowing up my blackberry with e-mails of promotions and other crappy ads. But I usually gave 5 bucks

Don’t ever order online unless you want to be spammed to death!

What about tipping at sonic?

The only thing I ever get from sonic is slushies. I always tip a couple of bucks which if you want to get into the math would be 100-200%.

Those kids don't make ****, deal with asshole managers and customers all day and are working their asses off most of the time. I feel for them. When I worked in a deli a couple of bucks would make my day after a particualry rough afternoon. I don't miss that bull****.
