Maybe we should all call the place that PSP works at and request that the pizza be delivered by PSP. From this he can find out how much each of us tips.

I order from the same 2 places in town all of the time. A large pie is around $15 to have delivered. I generally give them a $20.00 bill & call it even. If the driver has 4 deliveries, he'll generally brings mine first, so it's money well spent, I'd say.
If you can't afford a tip, you really have no business ordering out in the first place, IMO..

I lifetime of being a crappy tipper will not save you much money but it WILL result in lots of vitriol being directed your way, and even if you don't believe in negative energy there is nothing intangible about being treated like crap the next time you order.

Not only that but being generous feels good. :lighten:

$12 for crappy pizza + $3 tip = empty wallet and stomach pains.

$10 for some whole wheat flour, canned tomato sauce and super dank toppings + 25 min at 350 + 1 Highland IPA = happy GED.
I have re-considered my previous quotation as being better than delivery. Please note my last pizza endeavor......
5:30 Buss fare to local food co-op ($1.75)
5:50 Co-op purchases...Flour, Yeast, Sauce, cheese, shrooms, olives, 2 IPA singles ($14.49)
6:40 Arrive back home & commence cooking.
7:30 Pizza is finally cool enough to eat.

So I have spent 2 hours & $16.24. Is it still worth it?

I have reconsidered pointing out that you are a tool.

You make a dough, let it rise and cook the pizza in less than an hour huh?

There's a big difference in the pay scale of those in food service and law enforcement/ EMTs.

You have never worked in the food service industry have you?
Might want to look into that a little closer. LEOs can make decent money, but Every Medic's Trash starts right at minimum wage in most areas. If you ask me, those people are far more deserving of tips for the services that they provide than someone slangin' food, but oh wait, IT'S THEIR JOB.

So, you're telling me that EMTs who go to school to learn their trade make minimum wage?

Do you even know what minimum wage is?

You still didn't answer my question. Have you ever worked in the food service industry? I'm guessing not.

In CA, it's $8.00. In my brief experience in the food industry, pay was better but hours were harder to come by. Whambulance companies are good at providing hours but not wages.

you can not tip medical personnel nor anyone else that performs first aid on you. Everything is supposed to be done in "good faith", if you are tipped and something happens to that person, by law that person can now technically sue you.

EMTs make up for the low wage with other benefits just like fire fighters.

Ok, alot of people are on one side or the other here about tipping. Look at it this way, Tips..... Are earned, not Deserved. If you do a good job, you'll get a tip, if you do a crappy job you probably wont.

PSP, here's a great tip, "Don't eat yellow snow." Want more? "Don't piss into a stiff wind."

It would appear that fixed gear bikes and pizza delivery tipping are this week's hot button issues on ridemonkey. I think if we had someone delivering pizzas on a fixie, this website would immediately collapse into itself.
