Just curious how many people are having a schedule conflict with the May race? Is Mothers Day going to cancel anyones racing plans?

I may be a huge dork but I called my Mom and asked Her if She would kick my butt and was told to go have fun on my bike. Reminded me we had dinner plans the week before. Thanks Mom! Ill try not to crash just for you!
I hope its not a big deal for people but seeing that the June race in my little head I would love to race in later May to spread things out, But thats just me. Was looking forward to vacation days in June so I could take Friday off and practice more but oh well. Saturday and Sunday should be enough.
Unfortunatly, I will have to skip this race because of Mothers Day. I was excited when I saw the race was being rescheduled to PA, but the Mothers Day race date won't fly. The next race being on Fathers Day also creates problems for me. Between the wifes family plans, and my own family, racing takes a back seat to family time.
FR #1 was my first race and I had more fun than I ever expected. I cannot wait to get back to another race and work on improving my time and riding skills. I hope there is another good turn out and everything goes as smooth as it did the first time.

Mother's Day is just a Hallmark day anyways...why do you need one specific day to treat your mom well? Give her a ring in the morning and then again on the ferry home.
