The ****ty part is Weather.com in updated until next weekend... And although it will most likely change 8 times before then, they are calling for showers on opening day. When I saw this I figured I would ask since I even went as far as booking a hotel room at that fancy pants joint at the mountain so I could consume mass quantities of beer and not have to drive home. The real kicker is they keep $50 of my money if I cancel up to 3 days before and they keep all my money if I cancel within 3 days of saturday. Just trying to figure things out...

If it rains too hard, just do the following:

1.) Keep the room

2.) Buy booze

3.) Look in the phonebook under 'E'.

4.) Play 'governor of New York'

ahh boys, dont be so reliant on weather.com. being that i follow the weather on almost 3 different websites, weather.com unfortunately has the worst reliability. accuweather.com isn't callin for any rain (some the day before tho) on opening day. maybe go with their prediction. but im sure it'll change

The last time I rode Diablo in the rain was 04 I think -- when you used to be able to enter 'Twist' from the other sie across the off camber wet rock.

That was challenging. WOOT!( it still is challenging, just different - I miss seeing people wash out with the slightest touch of brake on that rock in the dry!)

weather.com isnt calling for rain anymore either next saturday. and both weather.com and accuweather barely says any rain next week either :D. lets hope for the best ;)

OMG, i cant stop thinking about saturday, im weak! i need someone to ride with. ill be alone all day, if you want to rip with me, let me know, or just tag along. ill be on the new sunday wc(black). idk how many new ones are out right now so you should be able to spot me:wait:

now (tue) weather.com is sayin rain for sat an sunday....damnit....unless its pouring i'll be up there, cant wait to ride my new (but bought used) glory!

im just going to ignore the weather till friday. it will drive me crazy if i dont. the foecast said it was going to pour last saturday at plattekill and it was gorgeous outside, i even got sun burn.

i hear ya....i used to not care when i lived in sparta (20min away) i could just wake up and see whats doin and go. but now im in seaside so its a almost 2hr drive so i need to bust out my mad al roker skills :clue:

The party will be even more fun with a bunch of muddy dirty downhillers drinking it up together, after all, half of us will probably start the party early :-)

Rain or shine, I'm there. I bought a season pass and I don't mind getting down and dirty.

And beware the rocks.. I skip RTN in the rain, its not a bug drop, but its big enough to go wrong.... lulz... slippy rock... (I would hit it wet in the past until I saw a slippery-incident...)
