Kinda...about 2 hours north but we could work something out. I'll come down and ride Ted Willy's. What's your transportation look like? We have some trails around here that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. They might still have some snow on them though, I'll have to check.

Ian, you still have the stink-mitt on?
yeah, they pulled the pin out and cut the cast(and almost my wrist) off today.....it looked like my arm was stolen from a morgue......i have to wear a gay brace for 3 weeks.......i think i'm going to be off the bike for longer than i thought......i should have a bionic thumb when all is said and done though.....i'm down to shoot photos, shuttle and hang out yo....let me know if you cruise down.....i think you are due for a surf soon too.....

haha I don't remember that but I'm sure it happened.
Dunstan is out west right now Working for Ducati, Marconi is in the DEA in the Seattle area arresting fools. Avery sold his Subway and I think is doing real estate and stuff.
I just remembered where it was, it was at Attitash, probably the summer of '99.

Evil crew - this is Boston U Dave.

That's funny.

Last time I saw him, I didn't even recognize him.

I kept thinking "christ, that little fvcker looks like a lumberjack now"

Probably because well.......now he's a lumberjack.

I don't know, that dude was totally cool and fast as ****.

I'm pretty sure he had a kid around like '03ish and maybe his hands are full with that.
Gunther randomly showed up at some Mt Snow races the year before this past. He was on a fresh stock IH Sunday. Still was pinning it.

what about that red head kid that use to ask nonstop questions? east coast guys would know this...what the heck was his name?
Pumpkin Head! Hahaha, I had forgotten all about him. I was racing up at Snowshoe for one of the National races back in '02 or '03 when I met him. I must've been about 15 at the time and he latched onto my friends and I and NEVER stopped with the questions, and every time he'd see us after that he'd come up with more questions.

Man, it's been a long time since I've heard from any of you guys. I've been racing dirt bikes alot since leaving the MTB scene.

If anyone wants to get a hold of me, feel free! I'm living in Maple Ridge, BC.. Got lots of Moto connnections now, and also love my newest toy, a www.2moto.com snowbike.

Jon

ps. Here is a link for my result at the Norba at Snowshoe: http://www.usacycling.org/results/index.php?year=2001&id=15&info_id=163

I found it as I was trying to tell a buddy that I used to race DH, and did pretty well at it. It's interesting to see how I did looking back, and knowing I ate crap on that run and broke my front brake line. Woo hoo!

I say we start our own mountain biking hall of fame. I hereby nominate Dan Dickan, Chris Carleton, and PEX. And maybe Jon Mutiger too.

Steve Geal? (UK)

I had a poster of him circa 98, doing a past flat table and rocking a pair of orignal z.1s with the discs on the right hand side. I thought that was the coolest thing ever back then.

Steve Geall is pretty much out of the limelight now, he owned a clothing company called smothering club and an mtb frame company for a while called G-bikes where he sponsored ollie and chopper fielder but that's all gone under. Im guessing he spends his time riding bmx these days

You all know former MTB X games winner Rob Naughton (he won $10,000 for the first and last summer MTB X) is a top off road truck driver, competes with todd and kyle Leduc-as well as FOX racing shock guru John Marking.

Fig lives across the street from me here in Flag, got around to riding DH bikes a few times last year... till some A##HOLE broke into his garage and stole 4 bikes.

Ah yes, you. As I remember, you did the funky chicken through the rock garden during that race, ate lots of chicken and rice, and tried to feed the deer hot dogs and got in trouble.

Connor Lockwood, hear he still rides some BMX and sings in a hardcore band. His mom made the best cookies. "Any one seen my Eric Carter gloves?"

ahha! That was the race that allowed me to move up from expert. I remember eating crap in SUPER mud, I got up and could hardly hold the grips my hands were so muddy and thinking I was going to get like last place. I'm not suprised 1st place smoked me! I remember that kid won almost every expert national that year I think when I looked at the results.
that kid must have rode nuts...I remember him smoking me and then 3rd or 4th place was like over 10 seconds behind me as well.

wow some of those names bring back a lot of memories. i see john mccan on that list. that guy use to rip.
That dude was an absolute animal. Back in 04/05, I was in the upper parking lot at Sunday River and saw him take about 3 big pedal strokes and then bunny hop that BMW/Avalanche beast - LENGTHWISE - over a refrigerator that was laying on its back. For a minute I thought it was Chuck Norris.

Over your shoulder whispering
Minichase ran him away from the sport forever. ;)
In all fairness to Seth, he wasted a good 20 seconds each race run trying to obtain Max Vert on every hump and bump on a course. Remember the V rock at Snowshoe listening to John P and the whole Evil crew screaming for him. He hucked some retarded height straight up, then "pop". Then "Awwwwwww!" from the Evil crowd. Bummer, but funny.

I can't remember where I wrecked on the course for this race either?
