Trim Gamut bash, or new crank?

Here's the problem, my new gamut poly bash won't fit on my old v-drive ISIS cranks. Should I trim down the bash, or has this weakened your gamut bash too much to be worth it?

Trim as little as possible to get it to fit. I spoke with Gamut when i had the same issue and they said I could send the bash to them and they would modify it or I could do it but either way I still kept the warranty. I know mine that I trimed for my saints has taken a few good whaks so far and is fine. I'm guessing they feel it is plenty strong after you trim it if they still honor the warranty.

the v-drives are really fat in that area, and to get it to work I think I am going to have to remove a significant amount of material. I'm thinking about just cutting out that quarter of the guard.

I never thought to do that since I only had to trim the mounting tabs. I really don't see why cutting that quarter out completely would cause a problem but who knows.

yea, just grind it. if you have to grind off so much that there's barely any material left and it looks sketchy, give the Gamut guys a call and they'll get you sorted out.
