Friday around Noon The Florida Boys showed up to give a much needed hand with bringing around the tacky soil.
Thanks very much to Ken, Vader, Mark and their buddy for gettin' the track so buff for Sat. Morning.
Quallies started around 1:30 with blue skies and perfect weather. Had a few racers sign up right at 1 so gave em' a few warmup runs and got underway.
Course conditions were perfect as well with the rain coming at the perfect time!

Vic Palmeri and Outspokin bikes donated product and brought grilled goods for everyones enjoyment! Rob Potter of Speedway BMX helped chalk and tape the course and donated goods and provided a PA system for an inspiring jam!

thanks again to all the competitors and the volunteers including>
Johnny Mac-Timer - Dennis-Starter and Jason Prewitt and anyone else who lended a hand to make the race a success
Special thanks again to all the race sponsors

Eh, sorry cruizer.... Alot of guys were wanting time at the race but, I was trying to keep the 1 copy in my hands to finish the race.. so posted them here.
I was worried when I saw you coasting the whole quallie... Looked like some thing I saw Lopes or somebody do once. Intentionally qualify slow to put out a top seed first round.... then when I had to race you I was just like crap man, I better haul azz, Jeff's trying to put me out early to make me look bad for winning my own race.... Hhahahaha

I felt that if anything could have went better at the race it would have been for the second left lane berm to be more even with the other lane,
it ended up being a disadvantage to overcome for sure. There were still a couple racers to overcome the disadvantage and win their heats,
and a couple passes made in the open course as well...

After checking pics.... I have to give Florida boy Robbie Taylor the gnarly dude of the day award....
buddy was full bike casing the big table double trying to clear it in practice, but come race time was clearn' it big! Went down on the lower part
of the course in practice, and from the photos looks like he went down hard in quallies too! (In an xc jersey noless)Still raced hard all day to
take the third place expert podium spot!
Vic takes home the pimp of the day award! As usual of course big pappa pimp move in the first open turn!
Rob Potter was the most improved racer from the last race, totally looked at home on the mtb! He's now abandoned his 20 and rides the mtb at the bmx practices and races...
I think there was a pretty good pass on the Sharal and Quehl moto too! hot stuff

Robbie isnt from FL? He lives in Denver, NC. He is a young ripper for sure.
ooops.... sorry I remember he was one of the first guys to show up I guess it was the other guy from Fla.
We had a few NC boys in the house who drove a ways too! Aaron and company from Winston Salem area, Jason Sharal and crew from near Charlotte NC and also good to see NC reppin' too - I think most of the rest were from GA.

I told my wife before the race this was the last one...
Now I am already planning on the next - keep an ear to a jump near you!

Wish everyone could have hung and went out for some beers that night! Hell, with the cost of fuel these days who can afford to stick around or drink beer?
Thanks for comin Glen! Thanks to everyone and hope it was a good time for all!
